FILTER FOR FILTRATION OF NUCLEATED CELLS AND FILTRATION METHOD USING THE SAME
A filtration method for filtration of nucleated cells that includes providing a filter containing at least one of a metal and a metal oxide as a major component thereof and having a plurality of through-holes therein, and passing a liquid containing the nucleated cells through the filter. The diameter of an inscribed circle of each of the plurality of through-holes is smaller than the size of the nuclei of the nucleated cells, and the inscribed circle of each of the plurality of through-holes touches all sides defining an opening of the through-hole.
FILTER FOR THE GRATE OF A STORM DRAIN
A filter for a grate of a storm drain, the grate having a plurality of grate slots, includes: (a) a plurality of parallel, spaced-apart chambers dimensioned for being inserted through the grate slots, each the chamber defining an open top and comprising a plurality of apertures in at least one side of the each chamber; and (b) a frame connecting the plurality of chambers to each other, the frame not obstructing the chambers from being inserted through the grate slots such that the filter is removably installable without moving the grate.
A lock inserts through one of the grate slots for locking the filter to at least one of the storm drain and the grate. The lock receives a key with a handle for removing the filter from the grate.
An indicator indicates when the filter is full. A solar panel powers the indicator.
SUBMERSIBLE WATER FILTRATION APPARATUS WITH MULTI-STAGE FILTRATION
An integrated process and system for the cleaning of any body of water in need of periodic cleaning, including but not limited to a swimming pool or spa. A submersible water filtration apparatus comprises a housing unit, an impeller driven by an electric motor powered by batteries, an inlet where fluid, such as water, is drawn inwards into the submersible water filtration apparatus, an outlet for returning filtered water into the body of water, and at least one filter zone.
Filter element and filter assembly
A filter element is provided with a support frame provided with a first end disk section and a second end disk section. A folded filter medium is connected to the support frame and arranged between the first end disk section and the second end disk section of the support frame. The first end disk section or the second end disk section has a face facing away from the filter medium. The support frame is provided with a fluid guiding channel that guides, when a fluid flow passes through the filter medium, the fluid along the face facing away from the filter medium. A filter assembly with such a filter element and a filter receptacle in which the filter element is exchangeably arranged is provided.
Method and apparatus for filtering fluid in nuclear power generation
A filtering apparatus for a fluid intake of a nuclear power generation facility comprise primary and secondary frames. The primary frame defines an enclosed volume having least one inlet opening, and at least one outlet opening in fluid communication with the fluid intake. A primary filter is supported on the primary frame and covers the inlet opening such that fluid passes into the enclosed volume through the primary filter. The secondary frame is located within the volume enclosed by the primary frame. A secondary filter is supported on the secondary frame and defines an enclosed flow passage in communication with the outlet opening, such that fluid passes into the at least one outlet opening through the secondary filter and the enclosed flow passage.
FILTER APPARATUS AND FILTER DEVICE FOR BIOLOGICAL SAMPLES
According to at least one aspect, the invention provides a filter assembly (100) comprising a tubular housing and a filter device (70) locateable to extend longitudinally within the housing. The filter device (70) comprises a lattice structure of crossing internal and external elongated elements (18, 20). The lattice structure comprises an arrangement of pores (22), and the external elongated elements (20) are presented outwardly of the filter device (70) with respect to the plane of the pores, thereby to provide ribs on the exterior of the lattice which define a shaped channel that will act as a first level filter for larger particles. The external elongated elements are shaped and arranged to provide one or more additional filter levels for smaller particles in advance of said pores, through which yet even smaller particles may pass.
Diesel fuel filter assembly
A filtration assembly filters diesel fuel used by a diesel engine and includes a filter element disposed within a housing. The housing includes an unfiltered fuel inlet and a filtered fuel outlet. The filter element disposed within the housing receives fuel from the fuel inlet. The filter element defines a peripheral wall sealably engaging filter media defining an unfiltered side and a filtered side of the filter element. The unfiltered side is enclosed with an impermeable barrier affixed to the peripheral wall and the filtered side is enclosed with a permeable water diffuser through which filtered fuel passes. A water separator assembly is disposed externally to the filter element receiving filtered fuel from the water diffuser. The water separator assembly includes water separator media preventing water from passing into the separator. The separator assembly interconnects to the filtered fuel outlet providing filtered, dewatered diesel fuel to the diesel engine.
Portable, dual-orifice filtered water dispenser
A portable water-filtering and storage dispenser is provided with twin orifices at top and bottom, the top orifice for dispensing water to a user for consumption, the bottom orifice for receiving water for filtration and storage. Water received via the bottom orifice is filtered by a dome filter and keyway insert. Both orifices are sealable with detachable caps for threadably mating with the body of the dispenser.
