Method for cleaning electrophoretic coating baths, and device therefor
Described herein is a method for cleaning an electrocoating bath in a continuous facility, where a skid connected to a conveying installation is conveyed through the electrocoating bath, and where the skid includes a filter medium; the filter medium is secured on the skid via at least one movable connecting element; the movable connecting element allows the orientation of the filter medium at the interface between electrocoating bath and air; and, after immersion of the skid into the electrocoating bath, during the conveying of the skid through the electrocoating bath, the filter medium is oriented at the interface between electrocoating bath and air and is drawn along the surface of the electrocoating bath. Also described herein is a skid for use in the cleaning method.
Devices and methods for moving, removing and/or installing one or more components of a treatment unit
Devices and methods associated therewith for facilitating movement, removal and/or installation of components from treatment units (e.g., water treatment units and wastewater treatment units). The treatment unit can take the form of a granular media filter (e.g., upflow filter, downflow filter or bi-flow filter) or a sludge collection basin. One preferred device is one or more floats facilitating safe removal of components of a treatment unit. The float(s) can be operably associated with an air scour system of a water filter to remove the air scour system from a granular media filter bed. The float(s) can be operably associated with a collection grid of a sludge collection container facilitating safe removal of the collection grid from the sludge collection container. Another preferred device is a flexible piping/conduit operably connected to a pressurized air source and an air scour system to assist in removal/installation of the air scour system.
MIKVAH SANITATION DEVICES
A mikvah sanitation device has a longitudinal axis and includes an outer axially extending housing and a plurality of filter cartridges extending axially one alongside the other within the housing. The filter cartridges are maintained in a pre-defined position within the sanitation device during use such that in a cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal axis the filter cartridges are distanced one from the other by a minimal distance that is sized to be least about 25 millimeters and in an enhancement (hiddur) at least about 48 millimeters in order to provide a passage between the filter cartridges that fulfills the criteria of mouthpiece of a drinking pouch (shfoferes hanod).
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR SPIN DOWN FILTER WITH ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS
A spin down filter with induced electromagnetic fields according to various aspects of the present technology is configured to provide a filtration device capable of providing a multi-layer filtration system that also softens and sanitizes a water supply. The spin down filter comprises a housing with a set of opposing magnets positioned around a spin down filter body. A collection of steel pins is distributed within a main area of the spin down filter and are responsive to magnetic fields created by the housing which cause the pins to act as a loose filter bed for trapping large particulates. A coil wrapped filter within the spin down filter body provides additional filtration. An electrical current may be passed through the coil to generate an electromagnet for removal of charged ions in the water and a pulsed electric field may be used to reduce microbial levels in the water.

Floating liquid intake
A floating liquid intake for a liquid suction removal system, the liquid intake comprising housing defining an internal cavity. The housing has a hollow and buoyant annular body, an upper cover and a lower cover. The internal cavity is formed between the upper and lower covers. A substantially annular inlet is formed in the annular body for ingress of liquid into the cavity. The annular body has a buoyancy sufficient for the liquid intake to float in a liquid with the annular inlet submerged below the surface of the liquid in which the liquid intake is floating. A pipe extends into the cavity and the pipe includes an inlet that in use is open below the surface of the liquid within the cavity. The pipe extends outside of the cavity for connection to a liquid suction removal system.
