Flame Resistant Viscose Filter Apparatus and Method
A filter assembly includes a filter pad comprising flame resistant viscose. The filter assembly also includes a bonding emulsion. The bonding emulsion may comprise casein resin. The bonding emulsion may additionally comprise acrylic resin. The filter assembly also includes a structural support. In particular embodiments, at least a portion of the fibers are treated with a solution that is fire resistant or fire retardant.
PRE-FILTER FOR REMOVAL OF CESIUM AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
The present invention relates to a pre-filter for removal of cesium and a method of manufacturing the same. The pre-filter for removal of cesium includes ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene and a cesium adsorbent, and is manufactured in which the ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene and the cesium adsorbent are mixed, heated, and molded or the ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene and the cesium adsorbent are mixed, molded, and heated. The pre-filter manufactured thereby removes cesium excellently and has excellent impact resistance, abrasion resistance, slipperiness, and chemical resistance.

CATALYTIC FILTER MATERIAL
An improved catalytic filter material for use in removing target species found in a fluid stream is provided. The filter material includes water wettable, high temperature staple fibers in the form of porous substrates that are attached to a high temperature fluoropolymer woven scrim. The porous substrates have catalyst particles adhered (e.g., tethered) to the surfaces thereof by a polymer adhesive. Optionally, at least one microporous layer is positioned adjacent to or within the filter material.
DEPTH FILTER MEDIA
Depth filtration media for the harvest clarification of a feed stream from cell cultures containing a therapeutic biomol-ecule. The depth filtration media is comprised of a sintered mixture of a polymeric adsorbent and a thermoplastic binder and possess ultra-low extractables and do not require pre-flushing prior to use. Further, the materials of construction used for the sintered depth filter media demonstrate a high stability to gamma radiation and are compatible with gamma-based pre-use sterilization processes.
Flame resistant filter apparatus and method
A filter assembly includes a filter pad comprising fibers including natural, synthetic and/or hybrid fibers. In particular embodiments, the filter pad comprises wool fibers. The filter assembly also includes a bonding emulsion, wherein the bonding emulsion comprises casein resin. The filter assembly also includes a structural support. In particular embodiments, at least a portion of the fibers are treated with a solution that is fire resistant or fire retardant.
