Covalent-Organic Framework Materials and Methods of Making Thereof
The present invention provides a covalent-organic framework (COF) body, populations of such bodies, a method for manufacturing a covalent-organic framework (COF) body, and (a) a gas storage system or a gas separation system comprising a gas storage vessel and a population of such COF bodies. The COF body comprises a plurality of primary COF particles, some or all of the primary COF particles being agglomerated as COF agglomerates. The average diameter of the primary COF particles is between nm and 120 nm, and the average diameter of the agglomerates is larger than the average diameter of the primary COF particles and between 15 nm and 250 nm. By careful control over particle size distribution during the formation of the COF material, it is possible (b) to form COF materials into high bulk density shapes and forms which are industrially useful and practical without losing sorbent performance.
Absorbent and method of making and use of the same
An absorbent compound and method of making the same, where the absorbent compound includes an amine oxide that comprises about 30% to about 55% of the absorbent compound and a polymer that comprises about 30% to about 55% of the absorbent compound.
Gas sensor and method for producing same
The filter of a gas sensor comprises an inorganic porous support supporting both an organic sulfonic acid compound including sulfo group (—SO3H) and a Lewis acid having at least a metal element of transitional metal elements, Al element, Ga element, In element, Ge element, and Sn element. The Lewis acid loaded in the inorganic porous support adsorbs low concentration siloxanes. The organic sulfonic acid compound including sulfo group polymerizes adsorbed siloxanes in the filter so as not to desorb from the filter.
METHOD OF CAPTURING CARBON DIOXIDE FROM A GAS MIXTURE
An aminated siliceous adsorbent, which is the reaction product of dried acidified rice husk ash having disordered mesopores and an amino silane, wherein amine functional groups are present on an external surface and within the mesopores of the dried acidified rice husk ash, and wherein the aminated siliceous adsorbent has a carbon content of 24 to 30 wt. %, based on a total weight of the aminated siliceous adsorbent. A method of making the aminated siliceous adsorbent and a method of capturing CO.sub.2 from a gas mixture with the aminated siliceous adsorbent.
ADSORPTION OF FLUORINATED ANESTHETICS WITHIN THE PORES OF MOLECULAR CRYSTALS
A method of delivering or sequestering anesthetic agents by adsorption of such agents by porous partially fluorinated compounds which display high weight adsorption capacities.
Solid carbon dioxide absorbent including amine or a compound thereof for use in the capturing process of dry carbon dioxide, and method for manufacturing same
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a carbon dioxide absorbent and to the absorbent manufactured by the method. The method comprises: (A) a step of preparing a slurry composition including a carrier composition containing a support, an inorganic binder, and a solvent; (B) a step of preparing solid particles by spray drying the thus-prepared slurry composition; (C) a step of manufacturing a carrier by dry calcining the thus-prepared solid particles; and (D) a step of receiving an amine compound into the pores of the thus-manufactured carrier. According to the absorbent of the present invention, an absorbing reaction and a regenerating reaction at a low temperature range (less than or equal to 100° C. may be conducted, and therefore, the cost for capturing CO.sub.2 in a dry capturing process may be expected to decrease.
VAPOR PROVISION DEVICE WITH LIQUID CAPTURE
An assembly for a vapor provision device includes a reservoir for storing source liquid; a liquid conduit for delivering the source liquid from the reservoir to a vapor generator for vaporizing the source liquid; and a liquid capture element in liquid transfer contact with at least a portion of the liquid conduit between the vapor generator and a part of the liquid conduit that receives liquid from the reservoir, and including an absorbent structure providing a higher capillary force than a capillary force of the reservoir.

Process for the removal of carbon dioxide and heavy hydrocarbons
The invention provides a process to purify a gas stream by using an adsorbent bed and a secondary device to remove heavy hydrocarbons with a recycle stream then sent first to a vessel containing an amine solvent to remove acid gases including carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide and then in most embodiments of the invention sending the treated gas stream to a dehydration unit such as an adsorbent bed or to a triethylene glycol absorbent to remove water. The invention further provides improved integration of the process streams to allow for smaller amine solvent and dehydration units as compared to the prior art.
