The present disclosure relates to oxidation catalyst compositions comprising a platinum group metal (PGM) component comprising palladium, platinum, or a combination thereof; a first oxide chosen from oxides of cerium, silicon, iron, cobalt, zinc, chromium, molybdenum, nickel, tungsten, magnesium, antimony, tin, lead, yttrium, and combinations thereof; and a first refractory metal oxide support material; catalytic articles; and exhaust gas treatment systems, as well as methods of making and using such oxidation catalyst compositions.
METHOD
The present disclosure relates to a method for forming a catalyst article comprising: (a) forming a plastic mixture having a solids content of greater than 50% by weight by mixing together a crystalline small pore or medium pore molecular sieve in an H.sup.+ or NH.sub.4.sup.+ form, an insoluble active metal precursor, an inorganic matrix component, an organic auxiliary agent, an aqueous solvent and optionally inorganic fibres; (b) moulding the plastic mixture into a shaped article; and (c) calcining the shaped article to form a solid catalyst body. The present disclosure further relates to a catalyst article, particularly a catalyst article which is suitable for use in the selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides, and to an exhaust system.
Particulate Filter
Disclosed herein is a particulate filter for use in an emission treatment system of an internal combustion engine. The particulate filter provides high fresh filtration efficiency and has minimal to no impact on backpressures.
Method for production of vanadium catalysts
A method for production of vanadium catalysts, including steps of 1) providing a mixture comprising a TiO.sub.2-based support and a composite oxide containing vanadium and antimony; 2) preparing a slurry containing the mixture obtained from step 1), and additive comprising at least one species selected from the group consisting of Si, Al, Zr, Ti, W and Mo, and a solvent; and 3) applying the slurry onto a substrate or processing the slurry into shaped bodies. The vanadium catalysts obtained/obtainable from the method, and use thereof for abatement of nitrogen oxides (NOx).
GOLD NANOPARTICLE SUPERLATTICE EMBEDDED IN POROUS SILICA AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
The present invention relates to a catalyst composition comprising a gold nanoparticle superlattice embedded in hierarchical porous silica and a method for manufacturing the same. The catalyst composition comprising a gold nanoparticle superlattice embedded in hierarchical porous silica according to the present invention comprises micropores and mesopores in the superlattice, so that these pores are channelized to allow the rapid access of reactants to surfaces of gold nanoparticles, and the catalyst composition is very structurally stable and has excellent catalytic activity, and thus has an effect of exhibiting a CO conversion rate of 100% at room temperature.
