It is intended to provide a novel zeolite with a rare earth element-substituted framework which has a higher amount of NOx adsorbed and a method for producing the same, and a NOx adsorption member and a catalyst for automobile exhaust gas, etc. comprising the same. The present invention provides a zeolite with a rare earth element-substituted framework, comprising at least a zeolite and at least one rare earth element selected from the group consisting of Ce, La, Nd and Pr, wherein a content ratio of the rare earth element is 1 to 15% by mass in total based on the total amount, and one or some of Al and/or Si atoms constituting the framework of the zeolite are replaced with the rare earth element.
NOX REDUCTION CATALYST
A method comprising treating combustion exhaust gas containing nitrogen oxides in the presence of a denitration catalyst to remove nitrogen oxides from the combustion exhaust gas, wherein the denitration catalyst is composed of a shaped product comprising a catalyst component, the shaped product has micro cracks in a mesh pattern or a bipectinate pattern on the surface of the shaped product, and the micro cracks have a 95% crack width of 100 μm or less and a crack area ratio variation coefficient of 0.7 or less.

It is an object to provide a catalyst that can effectively purify exhaust gas, in particular, carbon monoxide (CO) in exhaust gas, emitted from a diesel engine, a production method therefor, and an exhaust gas purification method using the same. A diesel engine exhaust gas purification catalyst for purifying exhaust gas emitted from a diesel engine of the present invention comprises a precious metal and alumina and/or zeolite supported on a three-dimensional structure, and has peaks for not less than three different pore sizes in a pore size distribution measured by the mercury intrusion method, wherein one of the peaks is a peak 2 at a pore size of not less than 0.3 μm and less than 1.0 μm, and the pore volume of the peak 2 being greater than 3.1% of the total pore volume.
HYDROCARBON ADSORPTION MATERIAL, EXHAUST GAS CLEANING CATALYST, AND EXHAUST GAS CLEANING SYSTEM
Provided are a hydrocarbon adsorbent, an exhaust gas purifying catalyst, and an exhaust gas purifying system, which are capable of adsorbing hydrocarbons, storing the adsorbed hydrocarbons up to a relatively high temperature, and desorbing the adsorbed and stored hydrocarbons at a relatively high temperature.
The hydrocarbon adsorbent contains a multipore zeolite containing, outside the zeolite framework, at least one metal selected from the group consisting of transition metals belonging to Groups 3 to 12 in the periodic table, amphoteric metals belonging to Groups 13 and 14 in the periodic table, alkali metals, and alkaline earth metals; and has a content ratio of the metal of 9% by mass or less relative to the multipore zeolite containing the metal.
CHA-TYPE ZEOLITE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
Provided is at least one of an improvement in the thermal stability of a CHA-type zeolite, which is achieved by a method different from that of the related art for improving thermal stability; a method for producing a CHA-type zeolite that improves thermal stability; and such a CHA-type zeolite. Provided is a CHA-type zeolite having a .sup.1H-MAS-NMR spectrum and an IR spectrum in which, preferably, in the .sup.1H-MAS-NMR spectrum, a ratio of an integrated intensity of a maximum peak having a peak top at a chemical shift of 3.0 to 3.5 ppm to an integrated intensity of a maximum peak having a peak top at a chemical shift of 4.0 to 4.5 ppm is greater than 0.12 and 0.5 or less, and, in the IR spectrum, a ratio of a maximum peak height of an absorption peak having a peak top at a wavenumber of 3630 cm.sup.−1 or greater and 3650 cm.sup.−1 or less to a maximum peak height of an absorption peak having a peak top at a wavenumber of 3590 cm.sup.−1 or greater and 3610 cm.sup.−1 or less is 0.40 or greater and 1.0 or less.
Diesel oxidation catalyst and exhaust system
An oxidation catalyst for treating an exhaust gas from a diesel engine, which oxidation catalyst comprises: a first washcoat region comprising platinum (Pt), manganese (Mn) and a first support material; a second washcoat region comprising a platinum group metal (PGM) and a second support material; and a substrate having an inlet end and an outlet end; wherein the second washcoat region is arranged to contact the exhaust gas at the outlet end of the substrate and after contact of the exhaust gas with the first washcoat region.

The invention concerns a process for preparing a copper-comprising SAPO material with AFX structure, comprising at least the steps of mixing, in an aqueous medium, at least one aluminum source, at least one silicon source, at least one copper source, at least one phosphorus source, a TETA complexing agent and a TMHD structuring agent, in order to obtain a gel, and hydrothermal treatment of said gel with a shear rate of less than 50 s.sup.−1 in order to obtain crystallization of said copper-comprising SAPO material with AFX structure.
