The present invention relates to a process for preparing a catalyst for the selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxide comprising, among other steps, preparing a second aqueous mixture comprising water and an iron salt; and disposing the second mixture on the substrate obtained according to (ii), comprising a coating comprising a zeolitic material comprising copper, over y % of the substrate axial length from the inlet end to the outlet end of the substrate, wherein y is in the range of from 10 to x, obtaining a substrate comprising, in a first zone, the coating comprising a zeolitic material comprising copper and over y % of the substrate axial length an iron salt; and, if x > y, in a second zone extending from y % to x % of the substrate axial length from the inlet end to the outlet end, the coating comprising a zeolitic material comprising copper.
METHOD OF FORMING AN INORGANIC OXIDE COATING ON A MONOLITH ARTICLE
A method of forming an inorganic oxide coating on a monolith article is disclosed. The coated monolith article is suitable for the treatment of an exhaust gas. The method comprises spraying, as a dry particulate aerosol, inorganic particles and a silicone resin to form a coating layer. The present invention also provides an uncalcined porous monolith article for use in forming a monolith article for the treatment of an exhaust gas. The uncalcined monolith article comprises a dry particulate composition comprising inorganic particles and a silicone resin.
METHOD AND CATALYST ARTICLE
The present disclosure relates to a method for forming a catalyst article comprising: (a) forming a plastic mixture having a solids content of greater than 50 % by weight by mixing together a crystalline small pore molecular sieve in an H.sup.+ or NH.sub.4.sup.+ form, iron sulphate, an inorganic matrix component, an organic auxiliary agent, an aqueous solvent and optionally inorganic fibres; (b) moulding the plastic mixture into a shaped article; and (c) calcining the shaped article to form a solid catalyst body. The present disclosure further relates to a catalyst article, an exhaust system, and a method of treating an exhaust gas.

Iron-loaded small pore aluminosilicate zeolites and method of making metal loaded small pore aluminosilicate zeolites
The present invention provides an iron-loaded aluminosilicate zeolite having a maximum pore opening defined by eight tetrahedral atoms and having the framework type CHA, AEI, AFX, ERI or LTA, wherein the iron (Fe) is present in a range of from about 0.5 to about 5.0 wt. % based on the total weight of the iron-loaded aluminosilicate zeolite, wherein an ultraviolet-visible absorbance spectrum of the iron-loaded synthetic aluminosilicate zeolite comprises a band at approximately 280 nm, wherein a ratio of an integral, peak-fitted ultraviolet-visible absorbance signal measured in arbitrary units (a.u.) for the band at approximately 280 nm to an integral peak-fitted ultraviolet-visible absorbance signal measured in arbitrary units (a.u.) for a band at approximately 340 nm is >about 2. The present invention further provides a method of making an metal-loaded aluminosilicate zeolite having a maximum pore opening defined by eight tetrahedral atoms from pre-existing aluminosilicate zeolite crystallites, wherein the metal is present in a range of from 0.5 to 5.0 wt. % based on the total weight of the metal-loaded aluminosilicate zeolite.
Zeolite with reduced extra-framework aluminum
The present disclosure generally provides a catalyst composition comprising a zeolite containing iron and/or copper with a reduced amount of extra-framework aluminum. The catalyst composition is useful to catalyze the reduction of nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas in the presence of a reductant.
Catalyst capable of simultaneously removing COS and H<sub/>2S in garbage gasification and preparation method thereof
The disclosure discloses a catalyst capable of simultaneously removing COS and H.sub.2S in garbage gasification and a preparation method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of preparation of desulfurization catalysts. The method includes the following steps: pretreating an SBA-15 molecular sieve with a templating agent unremoved, which primarily includes the steps of removing the templating agent and introducing halogen atoms to modify the molecular sieve; then synthesizing an active component solution; and finally introducing active components into channels of the pretreated molecular sieve via surface tension by adopting an impregnation method, performing washing and drying, and performing calcining under an N.sub.2 atmosphere, so as to obtain the catalyst. The catalyst prepared according to the present disclosure can load the active components in fixed positions inside and outside the channels, and the components are easy to obtain, thereby having the advantages of low cost and good desulfurization effects.
EXHAUST TREATMENT SYSTEM FOR AMMONIA-FUELED VEHICLES
The present disclosure is directed to an emission treatment system for NO.sub.x abatement in an exhaust stream of an ammonia-fueled engine, the emission treatment system including a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst disposed on a substrate in fluid communication with the exhaust stream, an oxidation catalyst disposed on a substrate positioned either upstream or downstream of the SCR catalyst and in fluid communication with the exhaust stream and the SCR catalyst, and optionally, one or more adsorption components disposed on a substrate positioned upstream and/or downstream of the SCR catalyst and in fluid communication with the exhaust stream and the SCR catalyst, the adsorption component chosen from low temperature NO.sub.x adsorbers (LT-NA), low temperature ammonia adsorbers (LT-AA), low temperature water vapor adsorbers (LT-WA), and combinations thereof. The disclosure further provides a related method of treatment of an exhaust gas.
Exhaust gas sample collector and mixer for aftertreatment system
An exhaust gas treatment system includes an exhaust gas pathway configured to receive exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine. The exhaust gas treatment system further includes a treatment element configured to reduce an emissions component of the exhaust gas, and a sample collector positioned within the exhaust gas pathway downstream of the treatment element. The sample collector includes a plurality of inlet openings spaced about a periphery of the exhaust gas pathway and configured to receive a sample of exhaust gas from the exhaust gas pathway, and an outlet in fluid communication with the plurality of inlet openings. A sensor located at the outlet of the sample collector is configured to measure a characteristic of the sample.
