A product manifold for use with a portable oxygen concentrator includes a first product port, a second product port, an accumulator port, an output port, and a flow path. The flow path operatively coupling each of the first product port, the second product port, the accumulator port, and the output port to one another. The product manifold includes a plurality of control ports. Each of the control ports fluidly coupling the flow path. The product manifold includes a first orifice disposed in a first portion of the flow path; a second orifice disposed in a second portion of the flow path; and a third orifice disposed in a third portion of the flow path. Each of the first orifice, the second orifice, and the third orifice being formed by an electrical forming process and having a thickness of between about 0.0025 inches and about 0.004 inches.
GAS SEPARATION ARTICLES COMPOSED OF AMORPHOUS FLUORINATED COPOLYMERS OF DIOXOLANES AND OTHER FLUORINATED RING MONOMERS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THEREOF
Described herein are articles for separating gases. The article includes an amorphous fluorinated copolymer containing, one or more types of fluorinated dioxolane ring monomers, and one or more types of fluorinated non-dioxolane ring monomers, optionally with crosslinking between the fluorinated copolymer chains. The copolymers of fluorinated dioxolane ring monomers and fluorinated non-dioxolane ring monomers show a large differential in the permeability of certain gases compared with other gases. The resulting polymer membranes have superior selectivity and reliability performance in certain gas separations compared with previous compositions known to the art. Methods for making and using the article described are also provided,
BINDERLESS ADSORBENT FOR SEPARATION OF A GASEOUS STREAM
A binderless zeolite adsorbent for separation of oxygen from a gaseous stream. The adsorbent is a blend of a lithium exchanged zeolite 13X, a lithium exchanged low silica zeolite X zeolite, and halloysite clay. Also disclosed is a process of making the binderless zeolite adsorbent. Further disclosed is a process for production of oxygen from a gaseous stream utilizing the binderless zeolite adsorbent.
ELECTROLYZER SYSTEM AND MATRIX CELL THEREFOR
Matrix cells are used to improve the regeneration capacity of an electrolyzer system. The electrolyte is electrolyzed in the matrix cell. Gas (predominantly product gas) which has unwantedly accessed the electrolyte space is transported off from the electrolyte space into the gas space envisioned therefor by a degassing device. Additional measures such as ultrasonic transducers and field electrodes may realize electrolyte flow and improved transporting-off of gas.
SEPARATION OF GASES FROM AIR
The present invention relates to the use of a zeolitic adsorbent material based on faujasite (FAU) zeolite crystals, the Si/AI mole ratio of which is between 1.00 and 1.20, and the non-zeolitic phase (NZP) content of which is such that 0<NZP≤25%, for the non-cryogenic separation of industrial gases by (V)PSA, in particular of the air gases.
The invention also relates to respiratory assistance machines comprising at least said zeolitic adsorbent material.
Apparatus and installation for supplying a gas mixture to a patient
An apparatus (1) for supplying a gas mixture to a patient, having a gas inlet line (30) with a gas inlet orifice (30a) that splits into a first gas line (31) and a second gas line (32); at least one permeation module (33) arranged on the second gas line (32), the said permeation module (33) having a feed port (33a) in fluidic communication with the second gas line (32), a retentate port (33b) and a permeate port (33c); a third gas line (34) in fluidic communication with the retentate port (33b) of the permeation module (33); a fourth gas line (35) in fluidic communication with the permeate port (33c) of the permeation module (33), and coupling fluidically to the said first gas line (31); and a source (360) of air in fluidic communication with the first gas line (31) and the fourth gas line (35).
Integrated oxygen supply device
An integrated oxygen supply device that is configured to generate oxygen continuously and release the oxygen non-continuously is provided. In some embodiments, the oxygen generated by the integrated oxygen supply device is stored in a porous material with the integrated oxygen supply device. The delivery of the oxygen produced by integrated oxygen supply device to a patient, in those embodiments, is controlled. In some embodiments, the control of the delivering oxygen is according one or more breathing patterns. The breathing pattern(s) may or may not be a current breathing pattern of the patient. For example, in one embodiment, the breathing pattern is a predetermined breathing pattern with a specified inspiration period followed by a specified expiration period.
HUMIDIFICATION AND SELECTIVE PERMEATION MODULE
A humidification and selective permeation module in which humidification of a gaseous feed stream and selective permeation of components in the gaseous feed stream using a facilitated-transport membrane occurs within the same unit operation is disclosed. A process for separation of components in a gaseous feed stream using the humidification and permeation module combines continuous humidification of the feed stream and selective permeation using the facilitated-transport membrane.
Nuclear power plant
In view of above problems, an object of the invention is to provide a primary containment vessel venting system having a structure capable of continuously discharging vapor in a primary containment vessel out of the system and continuously reducing pressure of the primary containment vessel without discharging radioactive noble gases to the outside of the containment vessel and without using an enclosing vessel or a power source. In order to achieve the above object, an nuclear power plant of the invention includes a primary containment vessel which includes a reactor pressure vessel, a radioactive substance separation apparatus which is disposed inside the primary containment vessel and through which the radioactive noble gases do not permeate but vapor permeates, a vent pipe which is connected to the radioactive substance separation apparatus, and an exhaust tower which is connected to the vent pipe and discharges a gas, from which a radioactive substance is removed, to the outside.
