Helical flow filter

A filter includes a filter outer wall, and a filter inner wall spaced apart from the filter outer wall. The filter inner wall and the filter outer wall define a filter void therebetween, and the filter inner wall and the filter outer wall extend along a filter axis. A volume of filtration material is positioned in the filter void, and a plurality of baffles extend between the filter inner wall and the filter outer wall. The plurality of baffles are configured to induce a helical component to an airflow entering the filter void at a first void end relative to the filter axis and exiting the filter void at a second void end opposite the first void end.

BREWERY AND STEAM VENT ODOR CONTROL SYSTEM
20230074097 · 2023-03-09 ·

The invention disclosed herein relates to an odor control system including features to allow a media scrubber to function to treat a humid, or saturated, or superheated exhaust stream. In some embodiments, the system disclosed herein can capture a humid, or saturated, or superheated exhaust stream, such as from a kettle vent, and dilute the exhaust with fresh air to lower the temperature of the combined air flow below its dew point. Water is drained from the system as it condenses in the system. The combined air flow can be further diluted and/or treated according to embodiments disclosed herein such that the exhaust stream, after having excess water removed, will have a relative humidity (RH) value enabling it to be run through a media scrubber.

FOOD WASTE DISPOSER

A food waste disposer including a housing, a container disposed inside the housing and provided to accommodate food waste, an exhaust duct communicating with the container and provided to allow exhaust gas generated in the container to flow therein, a filter device including a catalytic filter part configured to filter the exhaust gas passed through the exhaust duct, and a deodorizing filter part configured to filter the exhaust gas passed through the catalytic filter part and communicating with an outside of the housing, and a condensation chamber configured to remove moisture in the exhaust gas flowing from the exhaust duct into the catalytic filter part of the filter device.

Filtration assembly for reducing malaodors in air and aerosolized waste from toilets

An assembly for filtering toilet bowl odors including a first housing respectively disposed in spaced relation to and in fluid communication with the toilet bowl. A conduit connects interiors of the first and second housings in fluid communication with one another. A fan assembly is mounted within said first housing in fluid communicating relation with second housing, via the conduit, and is disposed and structured to define a path of fluid flow extending from an inlet of said second housing, through said conduit and a filter assembly, disposed in the first housing and/or second housing, to the exterior of said first housing, concurrent to activation of the fan assembly.

An ultraviolet air sterilizer for disinfecting bacterium and virus includes a shell, a sandwich activated carbon cloth filter element, a nanometer titanium dioxide screen filter, an ultraviolet light source, a heat sinking kit, and a fan. The shell includes a shell body and a cover plate. The shell body is provided with an air inlet and an opening. The cover plate is provided with an air outlet. The sandwich activated carbon cloth filter element, the nanometer titanium dioxide screen filter, the heat sinking kit and the fan are arranged sequentially along an air path from the air inlet to the air outlet. The ultraviolet light source is configured for emitting ultraviolet light to the nanometer titanium dioxide screen filter. The air sterilizer has a compact small-sized structure and effectively removes ambient gaseous as well as particulate pollutants and kills micro-organisms harmful to health and well being.

METHODS FOR TREATING ODORS

There are provided methods for treating a gas having an undesirable odor. The methods comprise contacting the gas with an acidic aqueous oxidizing composition having a pH of about 2.0 to about 3.0 and comprising at least one cation of a metal; a sequestering agent; and H.sub.2O.sub.2 and submitting the gas and the composition to UV radiation when the gas and the composition are contacting each other, wherein the treatment permits to reduce by at least 60% intensity of the undesirable odor.

Method And Device For Destructive Removal Of Odors From An Animal Litter Box

Animal litter boxes are provided which include a sensor to detect a change in an environment within an interior of its housing and an odor removal device (ORD) operationally connected to the sensor such that the ORD is activated in response to a signal from the sensor. In some cases, the ORD is configured to operate in different manners based on respectively different signals from the sensor. In addition or alternatively, the litter boxes may include a timer configured with the sensor for activating and periodically reactivating the ORD at preset time intervals in response to a sensor signal. In yet other embodiments, the litter boxes may additionally or alternatively include a timer having user adjustable settings of different time periods at which to initiate activation of the ORD and/or user adjustable settings of different durations at which to operate the ORD, both in response from a sensor signal.

Method and system for treating emissions using a transient pulsed plasma

A method and system to treat emissions (e.g., smoke, particulate, odor, grease) employs a nanosecond high voltage pulse generator, a transient pulsed plasma reactor, and a DC voltage source that supplies a DC bias voltage, preferably a negative DC bias voltage to a conductor of the transient pulsed plasma reactor. The system is used in a scheme that substantially reduces at least particulate matter in emissions streams, for example emissions streams produced during cooking, for instance in commercial charbroiling processes (e.g., cooking of hamburger meat), or from operation of internal combustion engines. Both a reduction in the size distribution and total particulate mass is achieved using the method and system described herein.
