SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMPROVING THE PERFORMANCE OF A SELECTIVE CATALYST REDUCTION SYSTEM IN A HEAT RECOVERY STEAM GENERATOR
A heat recovery steam generator includes a gas inlet for receiving a flow of exhaust gas from a gas turbine, a gas outlet opposite the gas inlet and configured to transport the flow of exhaust gas to atmosphere, and a sorbent injection device intermediate the gas inlet and the gas outlet, the sorbent injection device including at least one injection port configured to inject a sorbent into the flow of exhaust gas. The sorbent is configured to react with an acid gas within the flow of exhaust gas to neutralize the acid gas and inhibit the formation of salt deposits.
Preparation of an aqueous reagent for the absorption or destruction of pollutants
Process for treating a medium by the removal or destruction of one or more undesired substances present in said medium, comprising combining hydrogen peroxide and alkali hydroxide in an aqueous solution to form superoxide, and bringing the resultant superoxide-containing solution into contact with said medium. The process is useful for the destruction of halogenated organic pollutants and also for carbon dioxide removal from flue gases. The process can also be applied for soil remediation.
Method for operating an exhaust gas after-treatment system for an internal combustion engine
In a method for operating an exhaust gas after-treatment system for an internal combustion engine, the exhaust gas after-treatment system comprises at least one apparatus for generating a plasma and at least one SCR catalyst. The exhaust gas after-treatment system further comprises a device for metering a reactant for the SCR catalyst. According to the invention, the nitrogen oxides resulting from the operation of the apparatus for generating a plasma are taken into account in the method when metering the reactant for the SCR catalyst.
HIGHLY EFFICIENT CO2 ABSORBENT COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME
Disclosed are a carbon dioxide absorbent composition in which an N-alkylaminoalkanol; a polyhydroxyamine-based compound; and ethylenediamine and/or diethylenetriamine are mixed, a method for preparing the same, and a method and an apparatus for carbon dioxide absorption/separation using the same. Since the carbon dioxide absorbent according to the present disclosure has superior carbon dioxide absorption capacity and remarkably lower absorbent recycling temperature as compared to the existing absorbents such as monoethanolamine, etc., total energy consumption in the capturing process can be reduced greatly. In addition, since carbon dioxide is recovered at low recycling temperature, contamination by water or absorbent vapor may be prevented.
EXHAUST-GAS PURIFICATION CATALYST AND EXHAUST-GAS TREATMENT APPARATUS
An exhaust-gas purification catalyst that contains a perovskite-type composite oxide composed of at least Ba, Zr, Y, and Pd.
CARBON DIOXIDE CAPTURE SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATING CARBON DIOXIDE CAPTURE SYSTEM
A carbon dioxide capture system according to an embodiment includes: a carbon dioxide capturer, an absorbing liquid regenerator, a first washer, a second washer, and an absorbing liquid line. The first washer washes the combustion exhaust gas discharged from the carbon dioxide capturer with a mist of a first cleaning liquid sprayed by a first spray to capture the amine accompanying the combustion exhaust gas. The absorbing liquid line supplies the absorbing liquid regenerated in the absorbing liquid regenerator as the first cleaning liquid to the first spray. The first cleaning liquid sprayed by the first spray is supplied as the absorbing liquid to the carbon dioxide capturer.
Particulate filters
A vehicular exhaust filter (2) comprising a porous substrate having an inlet face and an outlet face with the porous substrate comprising inlet channels extending from the inlet face and outlet channels extending from the outlet face is disclosed. The inlet channels and the outlet channels are separated by a plurality of filter walls having a porous structure. The vehicular exhaust filter (2) is loaded with a refractory powder having a tapped density before loading of less than 0.10 g/cm.sup.3 and the vehicular exhaust filter has a mass loading of the refractory powder of less than 10 g/l.
Gas separating system
Separation efficiency of a gas in a gas separator mounted on a vehicle is improved. The gas separation system mounted on the vehicle provided with an internal combustion engine includes the gas separator configured to separate a predetermined component in the gas under the existence of water, a first passage connected to the gas separator so as to introduce an atmosphere into the gas separator, and a second passage connecting between an exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine and the first passage so as to introduce exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine into the gas separator.
CARBON CAPTURE SYSTEM, APPARATUS, AND METHOD
A combined power conversion and carbon capture and recycling subsystem including a fossil fueled oxidation unit, a physical adsorbent CO2 capture medium, rotor, motor, heater, CO2 compressor, diffuser and water storage tank. Exhaust gas from fossil fuel oxidation is scrubbed of CO2 via passage across a physical adsorbent and then released from the adsorbent via fuel oxidation waste heat. High CO2 concentration scrubber exhaust air is then compressed and fed to a diffuser which facilitates dissociation of the CO2 into water where it is temporarily stored for use in watering plants. Carbon from fossil fuel is recycled back into the environment and permanently stored as biomass by natural means of photosynthesis.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PURIFYING ENGINE EXHAUST BY USING OZONE
A system and method for purifying engine exhaust by using ozone; the system for purifying engine exhaust by using ozone comprises a reaction field (202), which is used to mix an ozone stream and an exhaust stream for reaction; the system has an excellent purification effect without needing to add a large amount of urea.
