Shelving system with tilting shelves and adjustable dividers
A shelving system and its method of formation. The shelving system comprises a shelf including a support plate, a front edge lip connected to a front portion of the support plate, and a back support edge connected to a back portion of the support plate. The back support edge has an elongated slot. A divider is mounted on the support plate and includes a main portion having a first end and a second end, with a first tab attached to the main portion at the first end and engaging a slit in the front edge lip and a second tab attached to the main portion at the second end, the second tab being provided with a flange, said flange being formed with a hole. A fastener passes through the hole in the flange and the elongated slot in the back support edge to adjustably secure the divider to the shelf.

An under the cabinet knife storage unit with a knife storage board with a planar top surface and a number of inlaid neodymium disk-shaped magnets that act as contact points for removable PLA brackets; removable PLA (or equivalent material) brackets with inlaid neodymium disk-shaped magnets; and a mounting bracket arrangement for mounting the knife storage board under a kitchen cabinet. The mounting bracket arrangement alternating between an extended position for the knife storage board and a retracted position for the knife storage board. The shelf has a plurality of shelf openings therethrough on a shelf face, the shelf openings configured to provide multiple lateral subsection configurations. A plurality of divider rods sized to be accommodated in the pan openings and shelf openings, the divider rods configured to divide the frame into the multiple lateral subsections.

A cabinet includes a frame, having a top pan and a bottom pan, and a pair of sides coupled to the top pan and the bottom pan to form the frame. A shelf is adjustably mounted in the frame in one of a substantially level or a slanted orientation. The shelf has a plurality of shelf openings therethrough on a shelf face, the shelf openings configured to provide multiple lateral subsection configurations. A plurality of divider rods sized to be accommodated in the pan openings and shelf openings, the divider rods configured to divide the frame into the multiple lateral subsections.

The present invention provides shelf adjustment systems and methods that may be used in merchandiser display cases and other applications to accommodate changes in product offering, giving the user increased flexibility in the use of merchandiser display cases. The shelf adjustment systems of embodiments of the present invention provide methods and apparatus for coordinating shelf adjustment, such that adjusting the display angle of one shelf of the invention causes the display angle of another shelf or shelves to also be adjusted by the same amount as the adjusted shelf.
