Fuel gas conditioning
Compressed rich natural gas is divided into a cooling gas stream and a fuel gas stream. The cooling gas stream is depressurized. The cooling gas and the fuel gas are then heat exchanged to provide a first cooling step to the fuel gas. The cooled fuel gas continues into a second cooling step in a second heat exchanger, and then flows into a separator vessel where liquids are removed from the bottom of the separator and conditioned fuel gas exits the top of the separator. The conditioned fuel gas from the separator and produced from its influent is depressurized and heat exchanged to provide the second cooling fluid for the second heat exchanger.
Modular contaminate capture and sterilization apparatus and method
An apparatus and method are provided for capturing and sterilizing contaminants, such as viruses and the like. Air containing the contaminants is drawn into the apparatus that comprises a housing having a customized number and arrangement of dissimilar treatment chambers to remove a particular contaminate targeted for removal. The treatment chambers are selected from a group of pre manufactured, self-contained chambers that are singularly or in combination inserted into the housing and within an air flow path created by a fan. The group of treatment chambers include a UV chamber, a temperature chamber and an ozone converter chamber. The customized arrangement of treatment chambers are each placed in the air flow path and programmed to provide customized sterilization of any type of contaminate while persons are present in the space being treated.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REMOVING CARBON DIOXIDE FROM AIR
The invention relates to a method for removing and obtaining carbon dioxide from ambient air, comprising the continuous execution of the following steps: a) bringing ambient air into contact with an aqueous solution of at least one alkali metal or alkaline earth metal for the purpose of absorbing the carbon dioxide into the solution, forming the bicarbonate or carbonate of the at least one metal; b) electrodialysis of the resulting solution using a combination of bipolar ion-exchange membranes and ion-exchange membranes that are selective for mono- and multivalent anions to obtain one solution enriched in (bi-)carbonate anions and one solution depleted in (bi-)carbonate anions, wherein the solution depleted in (bi-)carbonate anions is recycled to step a); c) thermal desorption of the carbon dioxide from the solution, obtained in step b), enriched in (bi-)carbonate anions by means of steam stripping in order to obtain a carbon dioxide-steam mixture and a solution depleted in CO.sub.2 which is recycled to step (b), wherein a pH is set there of between 7 and 8.5 or between 8 and 9.5; and d) removing water from the obtained carbon dioxide-steam mixture by cooling to condense the steam, and possibly further drying of the carbon dioxide.
CARBON DIOXIDE RECOVERY SYSTEM AND CARBON DIOXIDE RECOVERY METHOD
A carbon dioxide recovery system includes: a first heat exchanger that is disposed between a boiler and a desulfurization device, cools exhaust gas g flowing from the boiler to the desulfurization device, and heats a first heat medium w1; and a carbon dioxide recovery device that, when supplied with heat of the first heat medium w1, separates and recovers carbon dioxide from an absorber having absorbed the carbon dioxide.
