Air filter arrangement

Filter housings that have housing wall surface irregularities are described. The surface irregularities are positioned on the inner walls of the housings and/or axial ends of the housing walls. The surface irregularities may be, for example, grooves, ribs, bumps, and the like. The surface irregularities provide an engine integrity protection (EIP) feature by preventing non-approved replacement filter elements from forming seals against alternative sealing surfaces of the housing wall inner surfaces or axial ends.

A filter bank includes a filter enclosure. A first filter panel and a second filter panel are flexibly joined along respective proximal ends of the first filter panel and the second filter panel by a living hinge. A first sealing gasket extends along a distal end of the first filter panel and forms a first air seal within the filter enclosure. A second sealing gasket extends along a distal end of the second filter panel and forms a second air seal within the filter enclosure. A third sealing gasket extends along the living hinge. A pivoting sealing rail pivots within the filter enclosure to form a third air seal against said third sealing gasket extending along the living hinge

AIR PURIFIER AND AIR PURIFYING SYSTEM

An air purifying system may include at least three air cleaners or purifiers capable of independently operating and a docking station to support the at least three air purifiers. Since the air purifiers may be separated or stacked together on the docking station, the air purifying system may be operated in various states desired by a user.

Twist-interlocking engine housing and air filter and method

A Twist-interlocking Engine Housing and Air Filter System and Method is disclosed. The filter assembly provides unequaled ease of installation and removal, as well as superior sealing between the housing and the filter assembly. For installation, the user needs only to insert the filter into the housing and then give the filter assembly a one-quarter turn or less to lock the filter assembly into the housing. There are features within the filter base that snap-locks the filter in place to resist inadvertent loosening. Finally, the housing and filter are designed so that the outer flange of the filter base is recessed into the side of the housing in order to prevent the intrusion of unwanted grime and/or fluids.

Filter element with flat shape adapted to be locked in curved shape

A filter element is provided for being removably arranged in a filter housing, the filter element including a filter material body. The filter element is adapted to assume a first state, in which it has a substantially flat shape, and a second state, in which it has such a curved shape, such that opposite outer peripheral sides of the filter element are directed towards each other and in which it is adapted for a filtering operation. The filter element is adapted to be locked in the second state when arranged in the filter housing. A filter system is also provided including a filter element and an anchoring device adapted to be arranged between the opposite outer peripheral sides of the filter element when it is curved to the second state.
