The disclosed technology includes an air filter box for filtering particulates from air. The air filter box can include a filter media pack having a filter layer and a plurality of filter media supports configured to support the filter layer. The air filter box can also include a filter housing having an inlet, an outlet, and a plurality of support tabs configured to align and support the filter media pack inside of the filter housing. The filter media pack can be configured to be folded and placed inside of the housing for cooperative engagement with the support tabs. The filter box can be configured to channel a mixture of air and particulates from the inlet, through the filter media pack, and out the outlet to create filtered air.

The filtration unit includes a first connector which may include a fastener or a magnetic element. A second connector is provided to secure the filtration unit to the barrier, with the second connector including a fastener or a magnetic element on its first side to engage with the first connector and an adhesive on its second side to engage with the barrier. The filtration unit may also include a removable one-way valve such as a flap and an optional secondary filter.

Filter media including adhesives

Articles and methods involving filter media are generally provided. In certain embodiments, the filter media includes at least a first layer, a second layer, and an adhesive resin positioned between the first layer and the second layer. In some embodiments, the first layer may be a pre-filter layer or a support layer. The second layer may, for example, comprise fibers formed by a solution spinning process and/or may comprise fine fibers. In some embodiments, the adhesive resin may be present in a relatively low amount and/or may have a low glass transition temperature. The filter media as a whole may have one or more advantageous properties, including one or more of a high stiffness, a high bond strength between the first layer and the second layer, a high gamma, and/or a low increase in air resistance after being subjected to an IPA vapor discharge. The filter media may be, for example, a HEPA filter and/or an ULPA filter.
