Systems, methods, and storage units for article transport and storage
Provided are systems, methods, and devices for storing and transporting articles with a multi-shelf storage unit. A system for article handling includes a multi-shelf storage unit and a robotic unit. The multi-shelf storage unit includes a plurality of shelves disposed on a frame, the plurality of shelves including at least one vertically moveable shelf configured to move in first and second vertical directions relative to the frame, and a lift mechanism configured to automatically drive, in response to receiving a drive input, the at least one vertically moveable shelf in the first or second vertical direction. The robotic unit includes an end effector disposed on a robotic manipulator for engaging an article and a lift mechanism actuator that is connectable to the lift mechanism and configured to provide the drive input to actuate the lift mechanism.
RACK ASSEMBLY
A rack assembly has two side racks, two rails, and at least one sub-rack. The rails are mounted between the side racks and include a front rail and a rear rail parallel with each other. Each rail has an opening in a bottom of the rail. The at least one sub-rack is slidable along the rails and each sub-rack has a rack frame, a connection rod, and at least one supporting member. The rack frame has at least one front rod and at least one rear rod. Each front rod has an extension rod mounted retractably on a top of the front rod and having a front wheel.

HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE SIGN HOLDER
A sign holder assembly for a shelving system, in which the shelving system includes a first support post and a second support post, with each support post configured to support a side of a shelf, includes a cross member configured to be coupled to and extend between the first support post and second support post. The assembly further includes a support bracket having a base member configured to be positioned about a portion of the cross member in one of a plurality of positions along a length of the cross member, an extension portion extending from the base member, and a securement member projecting from the extension portion and spaced from the base member.
VARIABLE PLANFORM SHELVING SYSTEM
Variable planform shelving systems include a variable support platform and a support surface assembly that is supported by the variable support platform. The variable support platform includes frames that can be repositioned relative to each other to vary the planform of the variable support platform. The support surface assembly provides a support surface for supported items. The support surface assembly is flexible and/or comprised of a plurality of linked panels so that the support surface provided varies in response to variation in the planform of the variable support platform.
