Adjustable organizer shelf system and assemblies for use with an appliance are provided. Shelf assembly includes a pair of brackets and a fixed shelf mounted between the brackets. Shelf assembly also includes a movable shelf with a pair of rear lower hinges and a pair of lower guides. Shelf assembly also includes a lifting arm assembly attaching the movable shelf to the brackets. The lifting arm assembly can include a pair of lifting arms attached to each of the brackets. Lifting arm assembly also include an upper rear hinge affixed to each bracket, an upper guide affixed to each bracket, and a roller disposed within each of the upper guides and lower guides. The end of each lifting arm can be fastened to one of the rollers disposed with each of the guides.

The lowering and lifting means turns the lowering and raising mechanism such that the rope or cable moves over pullies in the pully system to raise and lower the platform of the storage apparatus.

The robotic unit includes an end effector disposed on a robotic manipulator for engaging an article and a lift mechanism actuator that is connectable to the lift mechanism and configured to provide the drive input to actuate the lift mechanism.

The shelf or shelves includes a gap wall at each end of the shelf. A switch is positioned above each gap wall. Each switch includes a handle, a mounting rod and a biasing member for biasing a long component of the handle outwardly away from the gap wall such that an engagement surface of the long component will engage a ditch step and thereby secure the shelf in place within the refrigerator door. The switch is actuatable by a user to allow for vertical adjustment of the shelf along the rows of ditch steps or to remove the shelf therefrom.

A plurality of linear actuators moves the plurality of shoe storing shelves in a path within a cabinet.; A controller manages operation of the linear actuators to move the shoes along the path. Transparent panels secure the shoes within the cabinet. Secure storage and retrieval of the shoes is controlled by electronics including a keypad, a push button and a shoe shelf identification code card printer. The shoe organizer unit provides for sterilization of the shoes stored and secure storing and retrieval of the shoes.
