DEVICE FOR SEPARATING SOLID PARTICLES FROM LIQUIDS AND GASES
20190374882 · 2019-12-12 ·

In a device for separating solid particles from liquids and gases in flexible disposable plastic containers, a plurality of filter elements, consisting of flat, elongate support grids with filtrate drain channels and a covering, all-round closed filter medium, are connected to form a filter package and enclosed by a flexible plastic container. This disposable filter system is operated in a pressure vessel and can be compressed there by applying an external pressure in such a way that the residual volume of the suspension is considerably reduced. As a result of the stable design, backwashing of the filter elements is possible, which prevents the build-up of a dense layer of solid particles and can therefore lead to increased filtrate flow. As a result of the completely sealed, sterile filter elements, the increased filter surface area and the resulting high filter efficiency and complete filtration with reduced residual volume shares, this system proves to be a cost-effective filtration device with high flow rates, minimized cleaning costs and short changeover times when changing products.

An electrostatic spray drying system includes an electrostatic spray nozzle having a spray tip assembly arranged to discharge a supply of fluid into a drying chamber. The electrostatic spray nozzle is responsive to a duty cycle signal that determines periods at which the electrostatic spray nozzle is open to inject the fluid. A controller is programmed to activate a pulse width modulation (PWM) mode of operation for the electrostatic spray assembly, initiate a first timer, provide a first duty cycle signal to the electrostatic spray nozzle at a first PWM activation frequency while the first timer has not reached a first pulse duration, initiate a second timer when the first timer has reached the first pulse duration, and provide a second duty cycle signal to the electrostatic spray nozzle at a second PWM activation frequency while the second timer has not reached a second pulse duration.

DEVICE FOR SEPARATING OVERSPRAY

A device for separating overspray from overspray-laden booth air of surface treatment installations, having at least one separating unit through which overspray-laden booth air can be guided and in which overspray can be separated, wherein the separating unit has a filter device with at least a first and a second filter element and also a first and a second structural element of planar design, wherein the structural elements have through-openings through which the booth air can flow, and wherein the through-openings of the first and of the second structural element are arranged in the flow direction such that the through-openings are not completely aligned with one another in the flow direction.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REMOVING PARTICULATES OF A FISSILE MATERIAL

A system for removing particulates of a fissile material includes first and second filtration paths. A first filter and a first valve are disposed in the first filtration path. A second filter and a second valve are disposed in the second filtration path. The first valve and the second valve are configured to switch between a dual open state and a mixed open/closed state. During the dual open state, the first valve and the second valve axe open to permit concurrent flows of the effluent gas through the first and second filtration paths. During the mixed open/closed state, one of the first valve and the second valve is open while the other of the first valve and the second valve is closed to permit the particulates on a corresponding one of the first filter and the second filter to be dislodged by a countercurrent flow of a purging gas.

AIR CLEANER

An operation mode of an air cleaner is changed according to the degree of indoor air contamination and an indoor space condition, and one or more filters of the air cleaner can be easily cleaned. The air cleaner includes a housing, an inlet located at a lower part of the housing, a filter assembly, an outlet, and a brush unit. The filter assembly is located above the inlet, and a diameter of the filter assembly is gradually shortened in the direction from an upper part of the filter assembly to a lower part of the filter assembly. The discharge port is located above a second filter assembly. The brush unit is used to eliminate contaminants from an outer surface of the filter assembly.

AIR CLEANER

Disclosed herein is an air cleaner capable of being coupled or separated in a vertical direction to improve space utilization. An air cleaner may include a first air cleaning module provided with a first connection unit, and a second air cleaning module detachably coupled to the first air cleaning module and provided with a second connection unit, wherein the second connection unit is configured to be detachably coupled to the first connection unit, and configured to be rotatable with respect to the first connection unit when the second connection unit is coupled to the first connection unit.
