A filter assembly, a ventilation assembly and an air-conditioning apparatus are provided. The filter assembly includes: a filter screen configured to filter air; a supporting portion configured to support the filter screen arranged to the supporting portion; and a mounting portion configured to mount the filter assembly to or adjacent to a mounting port of an apparatus to be provided with the filter assembly, and a shape and a size of the mounting portion matching with those of the mounting port to cover the mounting port. The mounting portion includes a sealing part having a shape approximately the same with a shape of a gap between the mounting portion and the mounting port and has an interference fit with the gap, to seal the gap between the mounting portion and the mounting port.

A ventilation assembly and an air conditioning apparatus are provided. The ventilation assembly includes: a volute, a surface of the volute being provided with a mounting port; a filter assembly arranged in the mounting port or in a portion of the volute adjacent to the mounting port; and a sealing member arranged with the mounting port or with the portion of the volute adjacent to the mounting port, and configured to seal a gap between the filter assembly and the mounting port.

A vacuum cleaner including a main body and a filter assembly. The main body includes a vacuum motor for drawing a flow of air through the vacuum cleaner. The filter assembly includes a first filter, and a filter housing configured to form part of an outer surface of the vacuum cleaner. The filter assembly defines a longitudinal axis, and a through-hole which runs along the longitudinal axis through the filter assembly. Also disclosed herein is a filter assembly for said vacuum cleaner.

A method of packaging a filter media that is pre-folded for insertion is a filter assembly is provided.

A filter assembly has a first housing having a plurality of recesses provided therein and a second housing having a plurality of ribs provided on an inner surface thereof. When the first and second housings are in an engaged configuration, the ribs are receivable in the recesses of the first housing thereby securing a filter media in the filter assembly.

A filter assembly includes a filter head and filter cartridge. The filter cartridge includes a housing and element. The housing includes a can with an open mouth. An interface ring is secured to the can adjacent to the open mouth. The outer ring surface is against the inner wall of the can. The ring wall is angled between the first and second ends greater than one degree and less than 6 degrees. Methods of filtering and making the housing are provided.

A solids discharge system (SDS) is configured to separate solids from product gas. The system includes a solids separation device and at least one solids transfer conduit configured to receive solids from the solids separation device. The solids transfer conduit is selectively partitioned into a plurality of compartments (or “sections”) along its length by isolation valves. A gas supply conduit and a gas discharge conduits are connected to one of the sections to facilitate removal of solids. A filter in fluid communication with that section is configured to prevent solids from passing through the gas discharge conduit so that the solids can be removed from one of the sections of the solids transfer conduit. A product gas generation system incorporates first and second reactors, the latter of which receives products created by the second reactor.

Air filter cartridges are disclosed. Also described are air cleaners including the filter cartridges. Methods of assembly and use are also provided. Also, systems of use are described.

Compositions are provided that include having at least 95% by weight of a taxane, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, where the particles have a mean bulk density between about 0.050 g/cm.sup.3 and about 0.15 g/cm.sup.3, and/or a specific surface area (SSA) of at least 18 m.sup.2/g, 20 m.sup.2/g, 25 m.sup.2/g, 30 m.sup.2/g, 32 m.sup.2/g, 34 m.sup.2/g, or 35 m.sup.2/g. Methods for making and using such compositions are also provided.

A framed air filter including a pleated filter element with two opposing primary, corrugated edges and with two opposing secondary, non-corrugated edges. The pleated filter element bears two edge seals of hardened adhesive that are positioned proximate, and laterally inward from, each primary, corrugated edge. The framed air filter includes a perimeter seal that is made of hardened adhesive and that is disposed on the first side of the pleated filter element. The frame of the framed air filter may be a flattenable-as-made frame.
