METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A METALLIC FUNCTIONAL PART DELIMITING A POROUS FILTERING MEDIUM, USING AN ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING METHOD, AND OBTAINED FUNCTIONAL PART

A manufacturing method enabling the obtainment of a functional part essentially formed in a metallic material, all or part of the functional part delimiting a filtering medium permeable to a fluid and delimiting first and second main faces for a preferred circulation of the gas through the filtering medium. The method includes a main phase consisting of an additive manufacturing method in successive passes from a support tray. Each pass includes the deposition of at least one layer of the metallic material, the deposited material adhering to the metallic material deposited before. The deposition is controlled at each pass so the stack of metallic material constitutes the functional part. The filtering medium includes a coalescent network of connecting strands interconnected according to a three-dimensional spatial distribution between the faces, the connecting strands of the network delimiting therebetween pores spatially distributed within the filtering medium in three dimensions between the faces.

A face mask with microporous filter membrane layer is presented. The face mask with microporous filter membrane layer contains a mask body at least one strap and a sealing element. The mask body contains a first end a second end an outer layer at least one intermediate layer and an inner layer. The first end and the second end are terminally positioned longitudinally opposite to each other along the mask body. The at least one strap is distributed about the first end and the second end. The sealing element is perimetrically connected along the outer layer inner layer and the at least one intermediate layer. The at least one intermediate layer is connected between the outer layer and the inner layer through the sealing element

Smart air filter and systems and methods for predicting failure of an air filter

Systems and methods are provided for predicting failure of an air filter within an HVAC installation. Also provided are methods for calibrating the systems described. The system provided typically includes air filters and vents, and a processor at an application server configured to implement methods described. Each vent may include various sensors, such as a temperature sensor or a sensor for evaluating indoor air quality. The method may receive information about a total volume of air pumped by an HVAC system over time, determine the volumetric quantity of air passing through a particular filter, and compare that quantity of air to a threshold amount representing the lifetime, or some percentage of the lifetime of the filter. Where the system includes multiple vents and multiple filters, the system may implement a model for calculating the volumetric quantity of air associated with each individual filter.

Secondary battery

A secondary battery according to the present invention including a battery case with an accommodation part accommodating an electrode assembly and an electrolyte, a fluid inlet/outlet port provided in the battery case to provide a moving passage through which a fluid is movable so that discharge of an inner gas and reinjection of the electrolyte are enabled, a gas discharge part restricting the discharge of the inner gas passing through the fluid inlet/outlet port, and an electrolyte reinjection part provided to reinject the electrolyte through the fluid inlet/outlet port.

FILTER ELEMENT, FILTER MEDIA, AND METHODS OF MAKING SAME

A filter element including a filter media and methods for making the same are provided. The filter element includes a support core surrounded by a tubular ring of filter media. A first end of the tubular ring of filter media is coupled to a first end cap and a second end of the tubular ring of filter media coupled to a second end cap. The tubular ring of filter media includes a carrier media layer, a coarse filter media layer, a fine filtration media layer, a water-capturing media layer, and an outer wrap.

Provided is an adsorption filter structure, and more specifically, an adsorption filter structure with easy detachment and increased filter efficiency. The adsorption filter structure includes a filtration unit passing external air through an internal space in a filtration direction, and filtering the external air, an external vent and an internal vent, and the helmet to which the adsorption filter structure is applied includes a protection unit into which the adsorption filter structure is interpolated and the external air entrance hole is formed, a neck packing part, a nose cast, and an exhalation port. Accordingly, the helmet, including the adsorption filter structure, is designed to be easily detached without protrusion so that a wearer's field of vision is secured, wherein the adsorption filter structure that is not restricted in actions during work is applied. The adsorption layer, the filtration layer, and the shielding layer are stacked therein so as to exhibit optimal efficiency, and thus the filtration efficiency is increased.
