MOTOR VEHICLE ENGINE AIR INTAKE SYSTEM, AN AIR FILTER ENCLOSURE ASSEMBLY AND VEHICLE ENGINE AIR INTAKE METHOD
Vehicle Engine Air Intake System and Method (to be accompanied by FIGS. 1 and 3) In a motor vehicle (12), an air filter housing (14) is at least partially defined by a cross-member (28) forming part of a structural front end module of the vehicle body. The cross-member (28) defines a recess (44) for receiving an air filter (90) and at least one air inlet aperture opening into the recess. An air filter enclosure assembly is mounted to the cross-member over an open face of the recess. The air filter enclosure assembly may include an air filter enclosure (42) and an air filter (90).
SEALED INTAKE AIR SYSTEM
A sealed intake air system incorporates a positive connection seal interface between the air filter and the airbox with captive fasteners to provide a positive connection between the air filter and the one-piece airbox.
Apparatus and method for filtering liquid particles from inspiratory gas flow of a patient breathing circuit affiliated with a ventilator and/or nitric oxide delivery system
The present disclosure relates to a filter apparatus for filtering liquid from a gas, the apparatus having a first housing having a gas inlet and a gas outlet; a first filter media disposed in the first housing; a second filter media disposed in the housing; and a second housing forming a first collection basin disposed in the flow path between the first filter media and the second filter media, so that a path is defined for the gas flowing from the inlet, through the first filter media, past the collection basin, through the second filter media, and to the outlet. The present disclosure also relates to a method of passing a gas through a coalescing filter media and through a hydrophobic filter media.
Filter for purifying an air stream
A filter is provided for removing contaminants from a gas flow (e.g., an air flow). Multiple panel filters are arranged in a filter housing. The panel filters are arranged parallel or near-parallel to a main gas flow direction and spaced apart to define elongated gas flow channels between adjacent panel filters, each elongated gas flow channel extending generally in the gas flow direction. The elongated gas flow channels include inlet channel(s) and outlet channel(a) arranged in an alternating manner, the inlet channel(s) configured receiving the gas flow at the inlet end and the outlet channel(s) outputting a filtered gas flow from the outlet end. Gas flow redirecting structures are arranged to redirect the gas flow in each inlet channel through adjacent panel filter(s) and into adjacent outlet channel(s). The filter may provide a pressure drop of less than 3 iwg, less than 1 iwg, or less than 0.3 iwg.
Filters, mounts and methods of mounting filters
A grease filter for installation within an aperture of an exhaust hood overlying kitchen equipment where heat or flame may occur, the grease filter comprising an external frame assembly, a UL 1046 listed grease filter, and a removable perforated insert. The external frame assembly defines a pathway for airflow therethrough and partially defines a first chamber of the grease filter and a second chamber of the grease filter. The UL 1046 listed grease filter being disposed within the first chamber of the grease filter and being secured within the external frame assembly. The removable perforated insert being disposed within the second chamber of the grease filter and wherein the external frame assembly is configured to allow the removable perforated insert to be removably installed within the second chamber in a spaced relation from the UL 1046 listed grease filter.
Round Filter Element, in particular for Gas Filtration
A filter device having a base filter element has a filter housing with a longitudinally extended cross-sectional shape, wherein an inlet opening and an outlet opening are arranged in the filter housing on opposing sides.
HANDHELD WORK APPARATUS
A handheld work apparatus has a combustion engine for driving a tool of the work apparatus and further has an air filter unit for filtering the intake air of the combustion engine. The work apparatus defines a vertical direction. The air filter unit includes an air filter and a filter housing enclosing the air filter. The air filter extends along a filter axis and has a filter element disposed peripherally around the filter axis, wherein the filter axis forms an angle of inclination () with the vertical direction. The filter element has an upper filter section in relation to the vertical direction. The filter housing has, remotely from the upper filter section, at least one air intake window and, in addition thereto, a further upper, permanently open cold air intake window in the region of the upper filter section.
ADAPTER FILTER FIXING TYPE AIR CLEANER AND INTAKE SYSTEM INCLUDING THE SAME
An air cleaner is provided. The air cleaner includes an air cleaner body and air cleaner cover that are coupled to each other to form an internal space for mounting a filter and that are clamped and separated through a cover clamp. The filter purifies air that is introduced through a duct inlet into air which is to be discharged through a hose outlet. A filter fixer is formed in the internal space to seat the filter and forms a filter holding force to block swaying of the filter. Additionally, a filter adapter is mounted into or detached from the internal space and is inserted into the internal space to form a filter fixing force for fixing the filter.
System for producing carbon nanotubes from combustion engine exhausts
A filtration system that uses a filter to convert wastes in automotive exhausts into carbon nanotubes is disclosed. Metallic salts, such as iron salts, may be mixed with diesel fuel by way of using algal biodiesel to ensure homogenous suspension of the metallic salts in the diesel fuel. The metallic salts form a suitable catalyst to grow carbon nanotubes on a filter placed in the pathway of the diesel combustion exhaust. The filter surface may be composed of iron of similar catalyst. The filter may be placed along the pathway of exhaust streamlines preferably at an angle of more than 5 degrees and less than 15 degrees. The filter is heated to temperatures in the range of 200-1000 degrees Celsius. The filter described in this invention can work in its own or supplement existing filtration systems. The filtration system may produce a material that is commercially valuable, synthesized carbon nanotubes.
Liquid separator
A liquid separator for separating liquid out of a gas/liquid mixture, including an inlet, an outlet, a flow path connecting the inlet to the outlet and at least one separating device arranged in the flow path, the liquid separator being designed and embodied with simple structure and a compact construction to enable reliable separation of liquids in such a way that the separating device has a fabric portion for liquid separation through which the flow path passes, the fabric portion being arranged at an angle of 1 to 15 relative to the main flow direction in the separating device.
