AIR FILTERING APPARATUS
The disclosure relates to an air filtering apparatus (1) configured to provide intake air to an engine, said apparatus comprising: a filter chamber (2) comprising an air inlet opening (3), and an air outlet opening (4); a weather protection hood (5) arranged on the air inlet side of the filter chamber, said weather protection hood having an air intake opening (6) facing downward and an outlet opening (7) being connected to the air inlet opening (3) of the filter chamber; a pulse filter arrangement (8) comprising one or more pulse filters (9); a static filter arrangement (10) located at the air outlet opening (4); where the pulse filter arrangement (8) is arranged inside the weather protection hood (5) and in that a maintenance space (11) is provided in the filter chamber (2) on a downstream side of the pulse filter arrangement (8), through which the filters (9) of the pulse filter arrangement can be replaced.
Air cleaner assembly with restriction indicator
An air cleaner assembly with a restriction indicator (14) includes a housing (12) having an exterior surface around an interior volume. The housing includes a bore (42) extending through a portion of the exterior surface of the housing surrounded by a bore wall (38) protruding from the portion of the exterior surface. A receptacle wall of the housing is disposed around the bore wall and is radially spaced from the bore wall to form a channel (44) between the bore wall and the receptacle wall. A restriction indicator (14) measures a restriction in the interior volume and displays an indication of the restriction. The restriction indicator includes a stem (46) that is at least partially insertable into the bore that engages an inner surface of the bore wall. One or more tabs (52) of the restriction indicator are at least partially insertable in the channel and removably couple to the receptacle wall.
Filter Arrangement
A filter housing has a first housing part with a first rim section and a second housing part with a second rim section. The housing parts can be joined and separated from each other in axial mounting direction and define a housing interior for a filter element provided with a circumferentially extending sealing element. The first and second rim sections form a receiving area in which the sealing element is seal-tightly clamped radially between the first and second rim sections when the housing parts are joined in the mounted state. A snap connecting device axially braces the first and second housing parts relative to each other. The snap connecting device is formed integrally on the first and second housing parts such that a clamping force applied by the first and second rim sections on the sealing element in radial direction is decoupled from the snap connecting device.
Filtration device having a latch mechanism adapter
A filtration device may include an adapter, a filter element, and a housing. The adapter may include a collar having an upper rim and a lower rim, a plurality of locking tabs extending from the upper rim, and a plurality of snap members extending from the lower rim. The filter element may include a casing and a plurality of receptacles connected to and arranged around a first outer surface of the casing. The plurality of receptacles are configured to receive the plurality of locking tabs. The housing, which is configured to receive the filter element, includes a shell and a plurality of ramp members that are connected to a second outer surface of the shell. The plurality of ramp members are configure to engage the plurality of snap members.
AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS OF USE
A filter cartridge for an air cleaner assembly is disclosed. The filter cartridge can include a media pack configured for installation into an air cleaner housing, the media pack extending along a longitudinal axis between opposite inlet and outlet flow ends, the media pack defining an outer perimeter. The filter cartridge can also include a circumferential shell surrounding at least a portion of the media pack outer perimeter. A radial flange extending from the circumferential shell proximate the media pack inlet end can also be provided. The flange can define a plurality of openings that are configured to receive protrusions on a housing body of the air cleaner assembly. The interaction between the protrusions and openings operates to ensure a secure seal between the housing body and the seal member.
Air cleaner assemblies
A filter cartridge configured to be removably positionable within an inner opening of a housing, wherein the filter cartridge includes a media pack having an inlet end, an outlet end, and an outer surface having an outer peripheral shape, at least one of: (a) a frame member at least partially surrounding the media pack, the frame member including a frame wall having a shape that is different from the outer perimeter shape of the media pack; and (b) a shell at least partially surrounding the media pack, the shell including a shell wall having a shape that is different from the outer perimeter shape of the media pack, and a sealing member extending at least partially around the inlet end of the media pack, wherein the sealing member connects the media pack to at least one of the frame member and the shell.
System and method for outputting filter monitoring system information via telematics
A filter monitoring system and method are described. The filter monitoring system includes a remote telematics system, and a data link between the remote telematics system and an onboard telematics system. The remote telematics system is configured to receive, via the data link, an indication of a pressure drop across a filter cartridge of the filtration system from the onboard telematics system, determine a first value indicative of a remaining filter life of the filter cartridge of the filtration system, determine a second value indicative of a remaining filter life of the filter cartridge that is determined in a different manner than the first value, compare the first value to the second value to determine which value indicates a least amount of life remaining for the filter cartridge, and transmit an indication of the least amount of life remaining for the filter cartridge based on the comparison.
Air cleaner assembly
An air cleaner assembly including a tray including a cleat receptacle at a back side of the assembly and a cover including a cleat at the back side. The assembly further includes guide features arranged at a front side of the assembly. The guide feature are designed to contact one another continuously and guide the cover rearward, from an unseated position to a fully seated position where the cleat is seated within the cleat receptacle.
FILTER CARTRIDGES; AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLIES; HOUSINGS; FEATURES; COMPONENTS; AND, METHODS
According to the present disclosure, air cleaner assemblies, housings, serviceable filter cartridges and features, components, and methods, relating thereto are disclosed. In general, the features relate to systems that are configured to aid in inhibiting an improper cartridge from being installed in an air cleaner housing, during servicing. A variety of features are characterized, and in many examples, the cartridge includes a seal arrangement having radially directed seal surface with at least a first non-wavy or non-projection/recess section and a second wavy or projection/recess section.
