Systems, apparatus and methods for disinfection of airflow. An apparatus for disinfecting air-conditioned airflow in a confined space includes: a modular housing; and a disinfection chamber enclosed within the housing. The disinfection chamber includes a plurality of disinfection sheets. Each disinfection sheet comprises a plurality of ultraviolet (UV) light sources. The airflow is configured to be routed along a serpentine pathway within the housing to expose microorganisms in the airflow to far UV-C light emitted by the UV light sources for an extended and optimal duration.
ELECTRONIC MICROBICIDAL AIR FILTER
An electronic microbicidal air filter is provided as an ambient air filter in aeration supports or ventilation grids and as an air filter for PPE protection masks. The filter includes an UVC luminaire (2), a power module (3), activation sensors (4), internal structure (5) with walls defining filtering chambers (6) with exposure membranes (7) sandwiched between the chambers (6) under the luminaire (2), so that the chambers (6) determine a winding zigzag path for the air that passes therethrough, while the particles carried by the air are irradiated by the luminaire (2) directly. The functional elements in the internal structure (5) of chambers (6) are integrated in an encapsulation (9) that surrounds the external part of the assembly and defines a sealed space for the functional and support elements at the ends of the structure (5).
ANTIVIRAL GRAPHENE OXIDE AIR FILTRATION DEVICE AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
An air filtration device may include a high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration media configured to filter particulates of at least 0.3 microns in diameter. The HEPA filtration media may include graphene oxide (GO) as an antibacterial and antiviral material configured to inactivate trapped micro-organisms. The HEPA filtration media may be a mat of randomly arranged fibers coated with GO or a mat of randomly arranged GO fibers. The device may be shaped and configured for use in an air purification system or for use in a protective face mask.

A respiratory droplet suction device includes an air inlet end and an exhaust end. A plurality of filtering devices are arranged between the air inlet end and the exhaust end. The filtering device is provided with a bacteria filtering screen for adsorbing bacteria and an ultraviolet sterilization lamp for inactivating the bacteria. The filtering device includes a first side wall and a second side wall. The first side wall is connected to the air inlet end, and the second side wall is connected to the exhaust end. The air entering from the first side wall is filtered by the bacteria filtering screen and discharged through the second side wall. The ultraviolet sterilization lamp is arranged corresponding to the bacteria filtering screen. The formation of sterilization tubes by plates with parts that match in whole or in part, that when assembled together form ducts, passages, channels, or tubes in a mass or block of heat resistant material. The size of the block may be reduced by forming the ducts as curved passages or tubes that will keep or increase the length of the tube while keeping the same or more exposure time while the gas is passing through. If the length of the curved duct is the same as a straight tube would have been, the overall size of the assembly may be reduced from what it otherwise would have been. If the curved length is made longer while the size of the assembly is kept the same, the exposure time is increased for a more effective sterilization.
Air decontamination and self-renewing purification system utilizing a filter
An air purification system includes a conduit extending between an inlet and an outlet, each in fluid communication with an enclosed environment. Ambient air from the enclosed environment enters the conduit via the inlet and treated air exits the conduit and enters the enclosed environment via the outlet. The system further includes a fibrous filter disposed within the conduit and configured to treat the ambient air thereby generating the treated air, and a renewal unit disposed within the conduit and configured to renew the fibrous filter.

A personal protective apparatus, having a wearable support member and a mesh shield securable thereto. The mesh shield may include first and second air-permeable conductive layers secured to the wearable support member and a first air-permeable non-conductive layer received between the first and second air-permeable conductive layers to separate them, and a portable power supply coupled to the mesh shield with a negative high voltage lead to the first air-permeable conductive layer and a positive high voltage lead to the second air-permeable conductive layer. The mesh shield may be a flexible mesh shield, and include at least one air-permeable layer secured at a first layer upper end to the wearable support member to hang from the wearable support member, the at least one air-permeable layer including at least one of an anti-virus material and an anti-microbial material. A fibrous filter layer may overlay an outer surface of the mesh shield.
