NATURAL GAS SYSTEM FOR ON-SITE PROCESSING
A natural gas processing system is mounted on a mobile platform that is transported to a natural gas source, such as a well. The system supplies retentate gas to operate multi-fuel engines for wellfield equipment such as pumps, compressors, and drills. A liquid drain discharges contaminants. A separator, first and second coalescing filters, and a particulate filter remove particulate matter and fluid contaminant matter from the natural gas. A dryer removes water vapor from the natural gas. Dual membranes separate the natural gas into a retentate gas and a permeate gas. A first heat exchanger adjusts temperature of the natural gas entering the membranes. A second heat exchanger adjusts temperature of the retentate gas output. A thermoelectric generator powered by the natural gas supplies process electricity. A process control monitors and controls the natural gas processing system, including pressure control valves, temperature control valves, and emergency shutdown systems. An instrument gas supply with an accumulator supplies gas pressure to operate pneumatic valves and instruments.
Chemical liquid manufacturing apparatus and manufacturing method of chemical liquid
A chemical liquid manufacturing apparatus is provided. The manufacturing apparatus at least includes an ion exchange medium and an ion adsorption medium configured downstream from the ion exchange medium. A material of the ion adsorption medium includes a resin material having an amide bond or an imide bond. A manufacturing method of a chemical liquid using the apparatus is also provided.
START-UP PROCEDURE FOR RAPID ATTAINMENT OF OPTIMAL STEADY-STATE PERFORMANCE IN MEMBRANE SEPARATION
Systems and methods for separating a liquid mixture are disclosed. A membrane is first soaked by the liquid mixture via dynamic soaking to reach steady state. During the soaking process, the flow rate of the liquid mixture is increased at a flow rate ramp, the temperature is increased at a temperature ramp, and the pressure drop is increased at a pressure drop ramp. After the soaking process, the liquid mixture is separated by the membrane under optimized conditions to produce a permeate and a retentate.
SCALABLE TANGENTIAL FLOW FILTRATION METHOD AND RETROFIT KIT
A method for modifying the flow capabilities of an existing tangential flow filtration (TFF) system is contemplated in which the processing capabilities of the existing static TFF system may be increased without requiring the addition of additional systems running in parallel. This may be achieved via adjusting or replacing certain of the components of the TFF skid to accommodate a tubing set having a larger (or smaller) internal diameter than the existing tubing set or the tubing set for which the TFF system was originally manufactured. In this fashion, it may be seen that an existing skid may have its flow capabilities dramatically increased. It is further contemplated that a retrofit kit for an existing TFF system for use according to the described method may be provided.
Recirculation Loop Reverse Osmosis System with Structurally Fixed Recovery Rate and Structurally Stabilized Full Flow Discharge
A reverse osmosis desalination system has a combined displacement pump and displacement pressure recovery motor that propagate feed water with a structurally fixed recovery rate and structurally stabilized volume flow through continuously alternating discharging and recirculation intervals. Thereby enabled is an instantaneous discharge of the entire feed water concentrate and unmixed replacement with low salinity source water that intermittingly and effectively flushes the reverse osmosis membranes. This in turn provides for high recirculation peak salinity and recovery rate that are simple and reliably controlled without impairing membrane longevity.
CHEMICAL LIQUID MANUFACTURING APPARATUS
A chemical liquid manufacturing apparatus is provided. The manufacturing apparatus at least includes an ion exchange medium and an ion adsorption medium configured downstream from the ion exchange medium. A material of the ion adsorption medium includes a resin material having an amide bond or an imide bond.
A METHOD FOR FILTERING A DAIRY PRODUCT
A method for filtering a dairy product is used in a filter system that includes at least one pump loop having a pump and a filter, with the pump being arranged to feed a feed product to the filter for filtering the feed product and outputting a permeate product and a retentate product. The method includes supplying the feed product to the pump at a feed pressure, during a first operational mode in which the feed pressure is below a first predefined threshold, controlling the pump to operate at a first power that is within a first percentage range of a maximum rated power of the pump, and during a second operational mode in which the feed pressure is above the first predefined threshold, controlling the pump to operate within a second percentage range of the maximum rated power which is higher than the first percentage range.
METHOD FOR DRYING SEPARATION MEMBRANE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SEPARATION MEMBRANE STRUCTURE
A drying method for a separation membrane includes supplying a gas for drying to the separation membrane so that a value obtained by dividing the difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of a flow rate of the gas for drying on a membrane surface of the separation membrane by the minimum value of the flow rate is less than or equal to 15%. The gas for drying is less than or equal to 40 degree C. and contains a water-soluble gas that has a solubility in 1 cm.sup.3 of water of greater than or equal to 0.5 cm.sup.3 in conditions of 40 degree C. and 1 atmosphere.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR CLEANING REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEMS
Apparatus and processes for controlling a reverse osmosis system for water desalination to reduce energy consumption. The system has a controller configured to receive information from the sensor array and determine a fouling parameter for each reverse-osmosis stage based on one or more of: an A-Value, a B-value and a normalized differential pressure. The controller is then configured to control the flow through each of the reverse-osmosis assemblies based on the determined fouling parameters to meet a predetermined criterion for total permeate production for the reverse-osmosis system.
