SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TANGENTIAL FLOW FILTRATION OF VISCOUS COMPOSITIONS
Apparatus, methods, systems, etc., for the tangential flow filtration (TFF) of viscous compositions including viscous fluids, solutions, gels, pastes, creams and suspensions with viscosities greater than 10 cP, 20 cP, 50 cP or 100 cP. The methods, etc., provide enhanced mixing of the viscous compositions in their storage vessels by extracting the input composition from different depths in the storage vessels to reduce or eliminate vertical concentration gradients.
HOLLOW-FIBER MEMBRANE MODULE
A hollow-fiber membrane module according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a rectangular tubular outer casing with at least one sidewall being open, the outer casing having a plurality of open ports, and an inner casing configured such that a plurality of hollow-fiber membranes aligned in a longitudinal direction of the outer casing are placeable in the inner casing and configured to be insertable into the one sidewall.
Filtration filter
A filtration filter comprises a metallic mesh having a circumferential shape and radially inner and outer portions. The metallic mesh is adapted to filter out a filtration target object contained in a fluid passing through the membrane. First and second frame members hold the outer portion there between so as to create first and second bent sections separated by a transition section extending between the first and second bent sections. The transition section includes at least one streaked projection.
MEMBRANE ASSEMBLY FOR A HUMIDIFICATION DEVICE
A membrane assembly for a humidification device of a fuel cell system may include a membrane. The membrane may be permeable to water and impermeable to air. The membrane may extend in a flat form in a longitudinal direction and in a transverse direction that is transverse with respect to the longitudinal direction in an extent plane. The membrane may include in a height direction extending transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction and transversely with respect to the transverse direction a top side and a bottom side averted from the top side. The membrane may include an encircling outer margin in the extent plane. The outer margin may have an upper edge at the top side and a lower edge at the bottom side, between which an encircling face surface extends.
REVERSE OSMOSIS APPARATUS AND SEAWATER DESALINATION SYSTEM HAVING THE SAME
A reverse osmosis apparatus for a seawater desalination system is provided. The reverse osmosis apparatus includes a barrel in which a plurality of vessels receiving reverse osmosis membrane units are arranged, a feed tank provided in an intermediate portion of the barrel and connected to a seawater inlet, a first water tank provided inside a first end portion of the barrel and connected to a plurality of first vessels connected to a first side of the feed tank, and a second water tank provided inside a second end portion of the barrel and connected to a plurality of second vessels connected to a second side of the feed tank.
REVERSE OSMOSIS APPARATUS AND SEAWATER DESALINATION SYSTEM HAVING THE SAME
A reverse osmosis apparatus for a seawater desalination system is provided. The reverse osmosis apparatus includes: a barrel in which a plurality of reverse osmosis membrane units with a reverse osmosis membrane wrapped in each reverse osmosis membrane unit are arranged; an inflow and outflow portion provided at a first end of the barrel and connected to a seawater inlet a high salinity water outlet; a partition wall configured to partition an inner space of the inflow and outflow portion into a first stage and a second stage; and a transport space portion provided in a second end of the barrel and configured to guide water being moved from a plurality of reverse osmosis membrane units arranged in the first stage to move to a plurality of reverse osmosis membrane units arranged at the second stage, wherein part of seawater fed to the inflow and outflow portion is fed around the tubes in the barrel and insulates the plurality of reverse osmosis membrane units in the barrel from external high temperature while being moved, and flows into the transport space portion.
SEALING ELEMENT
A sealing element (5) for a filter element (2) in a housing body (1) of a filtration system, preferably in a cross-flow filtration system. The sealing element (5) is one piece and is annular in shape and comprises one section for sealingly arranging the filter element (2) in the housing body (1) and one section for impact damping for the filter element (2)
CASSETTE TYPE ELECTRODIALYSIS UNIT AND MODULE COMPRISING THE SAME
A cassette type electrodialysis unit includes an accommodating box, a filter membrane group and a cover member disposed on the accommodating box. The accommodating box includes a membrane support, a membrane limiting wall and an accommodating opening. The membrane limiting wall is disposed on and surrounds the membrane support to form the accommodation opening. The filter membrane group is disposed on the membrane support and abuts an inner side of the membrane limiting wall, and includes a first ion exchange membrane, a second ion exchange membrane and a spacer disposed therebetween. The cover member includes a main body, an opening penetrating the main body, and a pressing portion. A first side of the main body adjacent to the filter membrane group has a peripheral area and an inner area closer to the opening than the outer area, and the pressing portion is formed on the inner area.
Water conditioning systems
A portable water conditioning system is provided that includes a water conditioner, a first sensor, a second sensor, and a controller. The water conditioner has a plurality of conditioning stages that condition water. The plurality of conditioning stages include, in a direction of flow of the water through the water conditioner, a reverse osmosis stage and a deionizing stage. The first sensor detects a first condition of the water before the reverse osmosis stage. The second sensor detects a second condition of the water after the reverse osmosis stage. The controller is in communication with the first and second sensors and determines a health status of the reverse osmosis stage based the first and second conditions. The first and second conditions each include a level of total dissolved solids of the water.
