A filter-box and a retrievable subsea filter module with a filter-box
The present invention concerns a subsea filter-box with a plurality of pressure-vessels 1 forming at least one group of longitudinal pressure-vessels. A first support plate 7 and a second support plate 8 includes a plurality of fixing geometries 20, each supporting pressure-vessel end sections 17, 6. Each of the plurality of pressure-vessels extends between a fixture on the first support plate and a fixture on the second support plate. Each group of pressure-vessels includes at least one entry pressure-vessel one end pressure-vessel 14, adjoining and in liquid connection with an intermediate pressure-vessel 16; and a filter-box frame, clamping the first support plate 7 and the second support plate 8 to the plurality of pressure-vessels. A filter module with at least one filter-box is also disclosed.
Device for cross flow filtration
A whole blood filtration device is provided with a filter membrane separating a feeding volume and a clean side of the filter membrane from each other. The feeding volume communicates with a first feeding side opening and with a second feeding side opening. The filter membrane has pores with a pore size that ensures permeability of the filter membrane to blood plasma/serum and that retains blood cells. The first feeding side opening can be coupled to a first blood pump for feeding blood from the first feeding side opening into the feeding volume so that blood plasma/serum permeates the filter membrane and blood cells, retained by the filter membrane, exit from the feeding volume through the second feeding side opening.
Device for whole blood cross flow filtration using a cannula needle
AIR PRESSURIZED WATER PURIFIER
An air pressurized water purifier includes: a water tank in which water is stored; a filter module installed on a water outlet path of the water tank and configured to filter water stored in the water tank; and an air pressurized module configured to increase air pressure inside the water tank by suppling air to a space in which water is not present in the water tank, thereby pressurizing water stored in the water tank to allow the stored water to be discharged on the water outlet path.
EASILY-ASSEMBLABLE DIFFUSIOPHORETIC WATER FILTRATION DEVICE
An easily assemblable water filtration device includes an inlet manifold for receiving a colloidal suspension including colloidal particles in water; and a diffusiophoretic water filter having at least one channel having an inlet and an outlet and for receiving the colloidal suspension at the inlet from the inlet manifold and flowing the colloidal suspension between the inlet and the outlet in a flow direction, the diffusiophoretic water filter having a pressurizable gas chamber for providing pressurized gas to the at least one channel via a gas permeable and water impermeable membrane. An outlet splitter connects to or is at the outlet, the outlet splitter having a first splitter outlet and a second splitter outlet, the first splitter outlet for receiving water having a higher concentration of some of the colloidal particles than a second splitter outlet. The outlet splitter, the membrane and at least parts of the inlet can be removable.
Apparatus for treating water or liquids in general
An apparatus for treating water or liquids in general, including a reverse osmosis filtration device provided with at least one inlet associated with a line for supplying the liquid to be treated, at least one outlet of the permeate associated with a line for dispensing the treated liquid and at least one concentrate outlet associated with a line for discharging the waste. The particularity of the present invention resides in that it includes, downstream of the filtration device, at least one tank that forms inside it two adjacent chambers with a mutually variable volume, in which one chamber is connected to the delivery line while the other chamber is connected to the discharge line.
AN APPARATUS AND APPARATUS ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and an apparatus assembly for assessing the suitability of a membrane, such as an osmotic membrane in an osmotic process. Furthermore, the apparatus, and apparatus assembly provide the means to optimise the parameters of an osmotic process, including the ability to gather key data for different membrane based osmotic systems to enable osmotic process and system optimisation.
Water desalination using freeze crystallization and acoustic pressure shock waves
A method of desalinating water through application of acoustic pressure shock waves to a slush to separate ice crystals from brine and recovering desalinated water from the separated ice crystals.
PROCESS FOR RECOVERING A METALLIC COMPONENT
The invention provides a process for recovering a metallic component from a process stream, said process comprising passing said process stream over a ceramic membrane comprising a selective layer with a pore size in the range of from at least 0.5 nm to at most 10 nm; applying a pressure difference across said ceramic membrane such that the pressure outside the ceramic membrane is at least 50 kPa lower than the pressure inside the ceramic membrane; and, thus, providing a permeate stream which has passed through the ceramic membrane and which is depleted in the metallic component and a retentate stream enriched in the metallic component; wherein the process stream is derived from a process for the conversion of saccharide-containing feedstock into glycols.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ISOLATING AND PURIFYING MINUTE USEFUL SUBSTANCE
[Object] To provide a method for isolating and purifying a minute useful substance. [Solution] Disclosed is a method for isolating and purifying a minute useful substance. The method includes filtering a liquid containing a minute useful substance through a hollow fiber membrane. The hollow fiber membrane has an inner diameter of 0.2 mm to 1.4 mm and a molecular weight cut-off of 100000 to 1000000. The filtering includes a first filtration process of press-fitting the liquid containing the minute useful substance from a first opening on one end side of the hollow fiber membrane and filtering the liquid to separate the liquid into a permeate and a first concentrate, and a second filtration process of press-fitting the first concentrate from a second opening on the other end side of the hollow fiber membrane and filtering the first concentrate to separate the first concentrate into a permeate and a second concentrate. A concentrate is produced in which a concentration of the minute useful substance is increased by filtration in which the first filtration process and the second filtration process are alternately performed a plurality of times at a membrane surface velocity of 0.3 m/sec to 2 m/sec.
