Water filter cartridge and water purifier

A water filter cartridge is reduced in fluctuation in filtration flow rate or in filtration performance due to activated carbon, and can exhibit stable performance even at the time of large scale production; and a water purifier is equipped with the water filter cartridge. A water filter cartridge having particulate activated carbon filled in a case for accommodating a filtering material in which the ratio of the total mass of particulate activated carbon having a particle size of 0.3 to 4.0 mm relative to the total mass of activated carbon is 97% by mass or more, and, in a particle size distribution which represents the relationship of the mass ratio of activated carbon relative to the particle size of activated carbon, a peak at which the mass ratio is 31% by mass or more does not appear in a particle size range of from 0.3 to 4.0 mm.

LAYERED TUBULAR MEMBRANES FOR CHROMATOGRAPHY, AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF

Described are wrapped fluid treatment elements, comprising: a composite material; an interleaf; and an inner core; wherein the composite material and the interleaf form layers wrapped around the inner core. The composite material and interleaf may be wrapped in a spiral configuration around the inner core. The invention also relates to a method of separating a substance from a fluid, comprising the step of placing the fluid in contact with an inventive device or element, thereby adsorbing or absorbing the substance to the composite material contained therein.

FILTER CARTRIDGE WITH INDEPENDENTLY REPLACEABLE FILTER ASSEMBLY
20180111091 · 2018-04-26 ·

Disclosed is a filter cartridge with independently replaceable filter assembly, comprising a shell with a cavity and opening, a filter body is arranged in the cavity, a cover plate capable of sealing the opening is further detachably arranged at the opening of the cavity, a water inlet for raw water to flow in, a waste water outlet for waste water to flow out and a purified water outlet for filtered liquid to flow t are further formed. in the shell respectively, and the filter body is formed by mutually sleeving at least two independent filter assemblies. Because the filter body is formed by mutually sleeving more than two independent filter assemblies, some of the filter assemblies, with the due service life, of the filter cartridge can be independently replaced without replacement of the whole filter body so that cost for using the filter cartridge can be reduced, the filter assemblies with the service life not due can also be prevented from being abandoned, thus saving social resources.

Electro-pressure membrane method for recovery and concentration of lithium from aqueous sources
12151211 · 2024-11-26 · ·

A hybrid electro-pressure driven method for the recovery, purification, and concentration of lithium salts is described. A fractionating electrodialysis stack equipped with selective ion exchange membranes is s used to separate a lithium containing brine into a monovalent enriched fraction and a divalent enriched fraction. The monovalent enriched fraction is further processed to remove remaining impurities by use of pressure driven nanofiltration. An optional concentrating electrodialysis device may further concentrate the monovalent enriched fraction in lithium content. The method may be combined with a subsequent solvent extraction and electrolysis step to produce lithium hydroxide, a Li+ selective sorbent step for producing purified lithium chloride, or a Li+ selective sorbent and precipitative step to produce lithium carbonate.
