20220048932 · 2022-02-17 ·

A process for continuous purification of high-purity trimethylaluminum is provided. The process includes preparing a membrane separator, which is placed vertically for use, and arranging a condenser tube inside of the membrane separator and a heating tube outside of the membrane separator, and a disperser at the top of the membrane separator for dispersing a liquid. The liquid naturally flows down along the inner wall of the heating tube by gravity to form a membrane. The process further includes concentrating liquid components having a low boiling point which are collected by the condenser at different stages and concentrating liquid components having a high boiling point which are collected by the heating wall.

The embodiments disclosed herein include forward osmosis hydration and dewatering devices. The forwards osmosis devices disclosed herein include one or more forward osmosis membranes and one or more barriers. The barriers are configured to protect the forward osmosis membranes from damage, such as damage caused by contact between at least one osmotic agent or another ingredients of the forward osmosis device.

HEATED MEMBRANE/MODULE FOR THERMALLY-DRIVEN MEMBRANE DISTILLATION SYSTEMS

A membrane for membrane distillation processing includes a heating element configured to generate heat when an electrical current is applied to the heating element; a polymeric matrix having pores that allow a vapor to pass through, but not a liquid; and electrical contacts electrically connected to the heating element. The entire heating element is covered by an insulating material to prevent the heating element to directly interact with the liquid processed by the membrane.

A heat exchanger for an oxygenator device has multiple hollow fiber membranes that each have a hollow portion through which a heat medium passes, wherein the fibers are wound as a cylinder body. Each of the hollow fiber membranes follows a path between opposing ends of the cylinder body which is tilted with respect to a central axis of the cylinder body and is wound around the central axis of the cylinder body, wherein a tilt angle θ with respect to the central axis ranges from 22° to smaller than 67°, and wherein a constituent material of each of the hollow fiber membranes has a Young's modulus E ranging from 2.6 GPa to 0.07 GPa. During winding, the hollow fiber membranes are stretched according to a stretching rate between 0.5% and 3.0% and then fixed at the ends to maintain the stretching.
