Systems and methods for removing organic compounds from steam
A system for producing steam includes a steam generator with steam output; a membrane filtration system in fluid communication with the steam output and including a membrane filter with a permeate side and an opposing retentate side. The membrane filter includes a separation membrane constructed to reject organic molecules. The system may be used for removing organic compounds, such as anti-corrosion agents or contaminants, from steam.

A water-treating ceramic filter module comprising a filter unit, and a housing containing the filter unit; the filter unit comprising pluralities of cylindrical honeycomb structures each having pluralities of flow paths partitioned by porous ceramic cell walls and extending in one direction, and sheet-shaped connecting members connecting the honeycomb structures in series in the flow path direction; each connecting member having pluralities of penetrating holes for achieving the communication of the corresponding flow paths of adjacent honeycomb structures, to constitute pluralities of communicating flow paths; the communicating flow paths being composed of first communicating flow paths plugged only at one-side end, and second communicating flow paths plugged only at the other-side end; and the housing has an inlet on the side of the one-side end for receiving the water to be treated from outside, and an outlet on the side of the other-side end for discharging the treated water.
Filtration system and weighing device therefor
The present invention relates to a filtration system comprising a cabinet, a filtration device having a filtrate or retentate vessel arranged outside the cabinet, and a weighing device that is configured to weigh the filtrate or retentate vessel. The weighing device can be arranged inside an enclosure and the enclosure can be arranged inside the cabinet.

Liposomes and methods of production thereof
Methods and devices for producing a population of liposomes are provided. Aspects of the methods include applying a centrifugal force to a suspension of liposomes in a manner sufficient to pass the liposomes through a porous membrane to produce a population of liposomes. Aspects of the invention further include devices, systems and kits useful for performing the methods.
Manifold arrangement
Provided is an improved filtration module assembly comprising a vessel having a filtration cartridge disposed within it and a header coupled to an end of the vessel, the header including a housing having an open-ended upper end and a lower end, and an end cap including a portion that mates with a complimentary structure defined by the inner all of the open ended upper end of the housing to removable engage with the housing and the end cap may further define a passageway for fluid to flow out of the vessel. The filtration module assembly may enable an improved manifold arrangement used to communicate fluids to and from a filtration system comprising a plurality of such modules and the configurations of the present invention may facilitate improved operation of such filtration systems.

Provided is a method for producing and/or purifying measles virus (MV) particles from a sample, the method comprising in sequential order the following steps loading a sample containing MV particles and one or more impurities onto a stationary phase material for carrying out flow-through chromatography to bind at least a fraction of the impurities contained in the sample and to produce a flow-through comprising at least a fraction of the MV particles contained in the sample; carrying out filtration, preferably ultrafiltration, and obtaining a retentate having an increased MV titer relative to the MV titer comprised in the flow-through. Further provided is a system for producing and/or purifying MV particles, comprising at least one bioreactor; a clarification unit, preferably a dead end filter unit, downstream to the bioreactor; a flow through chromatography unit downstream to the clarification unit; and a filtration unit, downstream to the flow through chromatography unit.
