Manufacturing of bupivacaine multivesicular liposomes
Embodiments of the present application relate to commercial manufacturing processes for making bupivacaine multivesicular liposomes (MVLs) using independently operating dual tangential flow filtration modules.
Pulse Protein Isolation by Ultrafiltration
Pulse protein isolates, food compositions containing such isolates, and methods for preparing pulse protein isolates are disclosed. In some embodiments, the methods include extracting pulse proteins from a milled composition and applying the extracted proteins to an ultrafiltration process to produce pulse protein isolates with desirable organoleptic characteristics.
Method and apparatus for the filtration of biological solutions
A system, method and device are disclosed for bio-processing a feed stream and providing a constant output by operating a continuous single-pass tangential-flow process. The single-pass process provides high conversion concentration while operating at relatively low feed flow rates, and the process can also be used to provide constant output diafiltration.
Natural crystalline colorant and process for production
A crystalline pigment or colorant composition having high color intensity and/or low sugar content, and methods and processes of preparation. The composition may comprise purified fruit and/or vegetable color juices.
METHOD FOR PURIFYING ANTIBODIES
Disclosed here includes a method for purifying a biologic composition, comprising diafiltering the biologic composition into a composition comprising phosphate buffered saline (PBS) to obtain a purified composition. The method disclosed here can be particularly useful for removing one or more impurities from the biologic composition, such as bis(2-hydroxyethyl)amino-tris(hydroxymethyl)methane (Bis-tris).
Process for the purification of complex biocompositions
The present invention relates to a process for the purification of complex biocompositions.
Methods for extracting proteins from a blood-based material
Methods of producing multiple protein products from blood-based materials including alpha-1-proteinase inhibitor, gamma globulin, albumin, and other proteins are described herein. The inventive methods include steps of: salt fractionation, chromatography, ultrafiltration, diafiltration, solvent-detergent treatment, and sterile filtration. Advantageously, the inventive methods are simple and produce alpha-1-proteinase inhibitor, gamma globulin, albumin, and other proteins in high yields. The sequence of process steps can be selected to obtain multiple products from various in-process materials, such as supernatants, pastes, chromatography flow-though, and chromatography washes.
Systems and methods for utilizing crossflow filtration for cell enrichment
A disposable cell enrichment kit includes a crossflow filtration device configured to be disposed along a main loop pathway and to receive a process volume containing a biological sample and utilize crossflow filtration, via a micro-porous membrane, to retain a specific cell population in a retentate from the process volume and to remove a permeate including certain biological components from the process volume. The crossflow filtration device includes a laminated filtration unit that includes the micro-porous membrane, a first mating portion, a second mating portion, and a membrane support. The membrane support includes a first plurality of structural features that define a first plurality of openings, wherein the first plurality of structural features are coupled to the micro-porous membrane and provide support to the micro-porous membrane, and the first plurality of openings allow the permeate to flow through them after crossing the micro-porous membrane.
MIXED MATRIX MEMBRANE WITH GRAPHENE OXIDE AND POLYETHER AMIDE POLYMER FOR DEHYDRATION OF GAS
Described herein are crosslinked graphene oxide based composite membranes that provide selective resistance for gases while providing water vapor permeability. Such composite membranes have a high water/air selectivity in permeability. The methods for making such membranes, and using the membranes for dehydrating or removing water vapor from gases are also described.
Pressurized filtration system and device for rapid extraction and recycling of medication from body fluid
The present disclosure relates to a system for the selective extraction and recycling of medication from body fluid, using a pressurized filtration system and device. The disclosure further relates to methods for extracting and/or recycling medication from body fluid in a pressurized system and methods of using the medication collected/extracted from that body fluid.
