DISPOSABLE FILTER CAPSULE FOR A FILTRATION DEVICE
A disposable filter capsule for a filtration device comprises only one housing, which has an inflow connection for a fluid to be filtered and an outflow connection for filtrate. The disposable filter capsule also comprises at least two separate filter means, which are fixed in the housing and together with the housing form an inseparable structural unit. All the components of the disposable filter capsule consist of sterilizable, in particular gamma-sterilizable, materials.
Subsea Seawater Filtration Apparatus
A filtration apparatus includes a tubular casing having a longitudinal axis and first and second casing ends. A plurality of partition plates are positioned in the casing and sealed thereto to thereby define an intake collection chamber between a first of the partition plates and the first casing end, a discharge collection chamber between a second of the partition plates and the second casing end, and a reject collection chamber opposite the second partition plate from the second casing end. A plurality of elongated filtration membrane stacks are positioned side-by-side in the casing generally parallel to the longitudinal axis. Each filtration membrane stack includes an intake end which is fluidly connected to the intake collection chamber, a discharge end which is fluidly connected to the reject collection chamber, and a permeate channel which extends between the first and second ends and is fluidly connected to the discharge collection chamber.
SEPARATION SYSTEMS, ELEMENTS, AND METHODS FOR SEPARATION UTILIZING STACKED MEMBRANES AND SPACERS
An example separation system includes a stack of membrane plate assemblies. An example membrane plate assembly may include membranes bonded to opposite sides of a spacer plate. The spacer plate may include a first opening in fluid communication with a region between the membranes, and a second opening in fluid communication with a region between membrane plate assemblies. Adjacent membrane plate assemblies in the stack may have alternating orientations such that bonding areas for adjacent membranes in the stack may be staggered. Accordingly, two isolated flows may be provided which may be orthogonal from one another.
Filtering device, purification device, and method for manufacturing chemical liquid
A filtering device is for obtaining a chemical liquid by purifying a liquid to be purified, and the filtering device has an inlet portion, an outlet portion, a filter A, at least one filter B different from the filter A, and a flow path which includes the filter A and the filter B arranged in series and extends from the inlet portion to the outlet portion, in which the filter A is a porous membrane containing a polyimide-based resin.
Methods of providing inlets and outlets to cell pairs in wound ED devices
Electrochemical treatment devices for treating water and methods of assembling the devices are provided. Disclosed masking and potting techniques allow separate feeds to be delivered to and/or collected from the depleting compartments and concentrating compartments.
STACKABLE AND ADJUSTABLE MEMBRANE MODULE
One aspect of the present disclosure is a membrane for water treatment. The membrane preferably includes at least one membrane sub-unit, and at least one membrane cartridge disposed in the at least one membrane sub-unit, the at least one membrane cartridge having a non-cylindrical profile.
NANOADSORBENT BASED USER-FRIENDLY HOUSEHOLD FILTER FOR THE PURIFICATION OF FLUORIDE AND ARSENIC CONTAMINATED DRINKING WATER
A nanoadsorbent based filter is used for purification of fluoride and arsenic contaminated water. 140-150 g low cost (10 USD/kg) nanoparticles of gamma alumina of 20-25 mg/g fluoride and 25-30 mg/g arsenic adsorption capacity is incorporated in propylene filter without susceptibility of leaching incorporated nanoparticles in water. The cost of domestic defluoridation device containing low cost nanoalumina incorporated filters/cartridges along with housing, overhead tank, tubing and treated water storage container etc. is of very low cost of around 25 USD/device. The fluoride treatment cost would be <0.5 USD/100 lit for 4-5 mg/l fluoride water after 2-3 regenerations while, the arsenic treatment cost using domestic filtration device would be <0.25 USD/100 lit for 90-100 g/l arsenic (III) water. A method incorporates nanoadsorbent in a sediment removal filter candle and provides a household defluoridation device capable of treatment of fluoride and arsenic contaminated ground/drinking water without electricity.

DEVICE FOR PREVENTING CONTAMINATION OF POSITIVE-PRESSURE CONNECTOR OF INDWELLING NEEDLE AND METHOD BASED ON SAME
A device for preventing contamination of a positive-pressure connector (6) of an indwelling needle and a method based on same. The device comprises a shell (1), a connecting port (3) fixedly connected to the shell (1) and used for connecting to the positive-pressure connector (6), an air pressure balance hole (5) disposed opposite to the connecting port (3) and provided on the shell (1), and a filtering membrane (2) provided between the air pressure balance hole (5) and the connecting port (3). The device is simple in structure, adopts a structural design of the filtering membrane (2), can filter microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, dusts, and particulate pollution sources, and is used during indwelling of infusion intervals to prevent the positive-pressure connector (6) from being exposed to the air and maintain the aseptic state and positive-pressure condition of the positive-pressure connector (6) during indwelling.
