SUBMERGED REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM
A submerged offshore reverse osmosis desalination apparatus and method uses product water from the apparatus and an onshore cooler or heat exchanger provide or improve the cooling of a Sea Water Air Conditioning (SWAC) system, power plant, data center, Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) system, or Rankine Cycle heat engine.
WATER TREATMENT DEVICE AND ESTIMATION METHOD
A water treatment device includes: a measure that repeats measurement of pressures on a primary side and a secondary side of a hollow fiber membrane module every minute time of three seconds or less in one or more steps of water filling, backwashing, pressure relieving, bubbling, and draining; and an estimater that estimates: abnormality of an internal state of the hollow fiber membrane module or of a peripheral device; a time required from a start to an end of the one or more steps; an effect of physical washing or chemical washing; or a future increase in an membrane differential pressure, based on a temporal transition of a measurement result of at least one of the pressures, or based on a difference in the temporal transition between a plurality of times of the step.
Computer-readable recording medium on which clogging location specification program for separation membrane module is recorded, water production system, and water production method
The present invention relates to a computer-readable recording medium having recorded thereon a clogging location determination program for a separation membrane module, in which, in order to determine a clogging location of a separation membrane module in a fresh water generation system for obtaining treated water by filtrating water to be treated by a separation membrane module having a separation membrane, a computer is caused to function as a clogging location determination means for determining a clogging location of the separation membrane module from a resistance in a lower part of the separation membrane module, a filtration resistance of a hollow-fiber membrane, and a resistance in an upper part of the separation membrane module.
Hollow fiber membrane module and method for operating same
The present invention provides a hollow fiber membrane module that can effectively resolve the accumulation of suspended solids within the membrane module, lower running costs, and also operate stably. The present invention relates to a hollow fiber membrane molecule provided with: a cylindrical case having a first end and a second end in the direction of height; a plurality of hollow fiber membranes accommodated within the cylindrical case; and a first potting part accommodated within the cylindrical case and attaching the plurality of hollow fiber membranes together such that the end parts of the plurality of hollow membrane fibers at a first end side of the cylindrical case are open. The hollow fiber membranes are porous hollow fiber membranes having a breaking strength of 23 MPa, and the hollow membrane module has a membrane area per unit volume of 800-3700 m.sup.2/m.sup.3. The filling fraction for the hollow fiber membranes in a cross-section orthogonal to the direction of height of the cylindrical case is 25-38%.
SYSTEM AND PROCESS FOR REMOVING POLYFLUORINATED POLLUTANTS FROM WATER
A water treatment system is disclosed. The water treatment system comprises a filtration module comprising one or more ultrafiltration membrane configured to remove one or more non-PFAS contaminant from a PFAS contaminated water stream to provide a partially purified water stream containing soluble PFAS contaminants. The water treatment system also comprises a sorption module comprising one or more sorption units comprising a sorbent material, the sorption module being in fluid communication with the filtration module and downstream therefrom and configured to remove substantially all PFAS contaminants from the partially purified water stream to provide purified water that is substantially free from PFAS contamination.
