A document storage system for removably storing individual documents. A shelved cabinet has a track receptacle mounted to the lower shelf surface adjacent the cabinet front. The track receptacle has a plurality of tracks extending from the cabinet front to the cabinet rear. Each track has an open slot extending from the front to the rear of the cabinet. The track also has a rearwardly extending lip providing a rearwardly directed open notch. The cabinet further includes a back with an inner surface and a pair of ohmic conductors mounted on the inner surface and extending laterally thereof. An electronically searchable flexible file folder has a thin main body portion and a header secured to the top of the main body portion. The header is dimensioned to be removably received in any track of the track receptacle with the main body portion slidably received in the slot. The header portion has visible indicator mounted on a first end; and a latch pawl located on the first end engageable with the notch when the file folder is installed in the track. A pair of probe pins is mounted on the other end of the header and are engageable with the pair of ohmic conductors when the file folder is installed in a track.

VERTICAL FOLDING SHELF

A type of foldable shelving rack that includes a folding rack and shelf units. Each level of the folding rack is formed by the hinging together a pair of U-shaped bars. The end of the upper U-shaped bar is hinged to the lower U-shaped bar, thereby forming multiple shelves comprising the foldable shelving unit. A positioning mechanism is located on the opposing hinged ends of the quadrilateral structure; each shelf unit rests between the middle sections of the two U-shaped bars, thus forming a stable and integrated unit that can be folded up.

A type of foldable shelving rack that includes a folding rack and shelf units. Each level of the folding rack is formed by the hinging together a pair of U-shaped bars. The end of the upper U-shaped bar is hinged to the lower U-shaped bar, thereby forming multiple shelves comprising the foldable shelving unit. A positioning mechanism is located on the opposing hinged ends of the quadrilateral structure; each shelf unit rests between the middle sections of the two U-shaped bars, thus forming a stable and integrated unit that can be folded up.

A system and method for video display aboard an aircraft, automobile, or other vehicle includes a housing and an assembly including a display screen partially or completely contained within the housing. When the display screen is impacted by an object or a passenger of the vehicle, brackets and support members absorb and dissipate impact energy such that the display screen is prevented from breakage or dislodgement due to absorbed energy. Instead, the display screen may absorb impact energy insufficient to break it but sufficient to direct or shift the display screen from its original position to a new position. The video display system may also include spring-loaded or actuated brackets to return the display screen to its original position after an impact, and sensors to alert a user to inspect, repair or replace the brackets, display screen, or other system components.

Automated storage and retrieval direct movement method

The invention is a method for repositioning objects in an automated storage and retrieval system. The method allows objects to move one at a time in an optimally efficient non-revolving sequence, so that often-used storage items can be retrieved more quickly. The method includes arranging positionable objects, such as storage bins or appliances, within a frame with one or more walls. The objects are attached removably to the walls by connectors, such as hooks. One or more planar motion mechanisms, such as H-bots, are mounted on the walls next to the objects. The planar motion mechanisms lift the objects from the connectors to reposition the objects. When a target object is designated, a microcontroller teaches the planar motion mechanisms a sequence for moving the objects into vacant spaces such that the target object can travel to a target access position by the most direct path.
