WATER DESALINATION USING FREEZE CRYSTALLIZATION AND ACOUSTIC PRESSURE SHOCK WAVES
A method of desalinating water through application of acoustic pressure shock waves to a slush to separate ice crystals from brine and recovering desalinated water from the separated ice crystals.
MEMBRANE CLEANING AND DESALINATION WITH A MEMBRANE USING ACOUSTIC PRESSURE SHOCK WAVES
Acoustic pressure shock waves are applied to a membrane in a fluid to prevent attachment of or dislodge biological or solid matter for membrane cleaning or desalination with a membrane.
REMOVING BIVALENT IONS FROM PRODUCED WATER
A system and a method for purifying a produced water using a nanomembrane formed from polymeric waste are provided. The method includes placing the nanomembrane into an aqueous solution, wherein a surface of the nanomembrane is functionalized with carboxyl groups. Carbon dioxide is injected into the aqueous solution, and bivalent alkaline earth cations are adsorbed on the surface of the nanomembrane in the presence of carbonate ions (CO.sub.3.sup.2) to form carbonate crystals on the surface of the nanomembrane.
Self cleaning air filter module and projection device using the same
An air filter module adapted to be used with a projection module and disposed to cover an air vent of the projection module. The air filter module includes a filter component and a cleaning unit. The cleaning unit is disposed to cover the air vent and configured to drive the filter component to have a movement so as to remove the dust on the filter component according to a cleaning-start signal. A projection device adopting the air filter module is also provided.
WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEM WITH ACTIVE VIBRATION
The water purification system for flow-coupled installation with a tap water inflow for producing a relatively purified water outflow includes a purification unit having a tap water inlet port for receiving tap water inflow and a purified water outlet port for dispensing purified water outflow from said purification unit. A particulate catalyst retained within the purification unit is in flow through relation relative to said the water inflow and purified water outflow and catalyzes contaminants as the tap water inflow travels through the purification unit. A particulate agitator associated translates vibration to the particulate catalyst for substantially preventing channeling therein during relatively slow tap water inflow through the purification unit.
Acoustic Pressure Shock Wave Devices and Methods for Fluids Processing
A method of treating fluids, including for recovery of water apart from impurities or undesired matter, utilizes application of shock waves to the fluids.
FILTER SCREEN
A filter screen for cross-flow filtration includes a cross-sectional thickness measured from an outer surface to an inner surface, the outer surface configured to exclude particles; and a plurality of slots that are evenly spaced apart. Each of the slots have a length along a longest axis at the outer surface; a width measured from a perpendicular axis relative to the length at the outer surface that is less than the length; and a depth along the cross-sectional thickness that is tapered.
Scrubber Device for Scrubbing Hydrocarbon Gas Stream Including Modified Sparger Ducts
A gas scrubber device includes a liquid collection tank for separating a gas stream from produced hydrocarbon fluids and a scrubber for scrubbing a waste gas from the gas stream. The gas stream exits the tank into a manifold connected to sparger ducts having discharge openings below an operating level of scrubbing solution in the scrubber in which the sparger ducts and the manifold a situated at least partly above the operating level to define a head space along a length of the duct where gas pressure is balanced along the length of the sparger duct to discharge gas into the scrubbing solution more evenly. A drain line between the scrubbing chamber and the liquid collection tank allows the scrubbing solution to be periodically drained into the tank with the collected liquids when the line is selectively opened.
Biochar-anaerobic membrane biological treatment system and process
Provided is a biochar-anaerobic membrane biological treatment system and process. The system mainly includes a reaction tank, a membrane module, a macroporous gas distribution device, low-temperature pyrolysis biochar. The application of the process to sewage treatment shows that: under the conditions that the hydraulic retention time is 3.2-7.2 h, the membrane flux is 12.0-17.8 L/m.sup.2/h, and the sludge concentration of 7.2-15.6 g/L, multiple objectives of promoting organic micropollutants (OMPs) biotransformation, accelerating methane production and strengthening membrane fouling control were achieved. The system improved OMPs removal efficiency by more than 20%, decreased membrane fouling rate by 50%, and reaching an organic matter removal efficiency of more than 86% at low temperature. The system and process solve the problems of poor OMPs removal efficiency, serious membrane fouling, and low methane yield at low temperature in the anaerobic membrane biological treatment system.
