Hybrid Crosslinked Polymer Membrane And Process For Fabricating The Same
A hybrid crosslinked polymeric membrane and a process for fabricating the same are provided. Specifically, the hybrid crosslinked polymer membrane comprises a glassy polymer and a ladder-structured polysilsesquioxane and has a crosslinked structure. The hybrid crosslinked polymer membrane can have an excellent permeability of carbon dioxide by virtue of an increase in the free volume and enhanced plasticization resistance, chemical resistance, and durability.
SEPARATION MEMBRANE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SEPARATION MEMBRANE
The present invention relates to a separation membrane including a thermoplastic polymer selected from a cellulose ester and a polyamide, in which, when regions obtained by dividing a cross-sectional surface perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the separation membrane into 5 at an equal interval are defined as regions 1 to 5, all the regions 1 to 5 have a number average pore diameter changing rate a of −0.25 to 0.25, and at least one of the regions 1 to 5 is a region P that satisfies conditions (a) and (b): (a) a value of area average pore diameter D.sub.s/number average pore diameter D.sub.n is 2.50 to 6.00; and (b) a number average W of fine pores that are located at a distance smaller than L.sub.a from a center of respective coarse pores is 10 to 30.
HIGH-FLUX WATER PERMEABLE MEMBRANES
Water permeable membranes and methods of preparation are described. The water permeable membrane can comprise a porous support, and a polyamide layer comprising a crosslinked polyamide on a surface of the porous support, wherein the polyamide layer further comprises nanoparticles and a hydrophilic additive, and wherein the hydrophilic additive covalently bonds to the crosslinked polyamide. The crosslinked polyamide can be interfacially polymerized on the porous support. Methods for desalinating water, performing dialysis, or performing pervaporation using the water permeable membranes are disclosed.
ORGANOSILICA MEMBRANES, METHODS OF MAKING SAME, AND USES THEREOF
Provided are composite articles having a membrane and a porous substrate, where the porous substrate has the membrane disposed thereon. The membrane has two layers, where the first layer has the second layer disposed thereon, and each layer has a plurality of polymer chains with a plurality of silicon-oxygen groups and a plurality of silicon-carbon groups. The first layer has a silicon to oxygen ratio of about 4:1 to about 1:1.25 and a silicon to carbon ratio of about 1:2 to about 1:10, and the second layer has a silicon to oxygen ratio of about 1:1 to about 1:2 and a silicon to carbon ratio of about 2:1 to about 10:1. At least a portion of the polymer chains of the second layer am crosslinked. The composite articles may be used in gas separation methods. Also provided are methods of making the composite articles and devices utilizing the composite articles.
FE-AL-BASED METAL POROUS MEMBRANE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
The present invention discloses a Fe—Al-based metal porous membrane and a preparation method thereof, which relate to the technical field of industrial gas-solid and liquid-solid separation and purification, and mainly address problems in the prior art, such as cracking-prone and peeling of a membrane layer of an existing Fe—Al-based metal porous membrane during its preparation and use. The preparation method of the present invention comprises the steps of: adding a Fe—Al-based metal powder and a metal fiber powder into an organic-additive-added water-based solvent, and mixing them into a slurry; casting the slurry, through a casting machine, to form a membrane green body on a metal substrate layer, and letting it dry; and placing the dried membrane green body in a sintering furnace, to remove organic substances and perform high-temperature sintering and predetermined-temperature reaction synthesis.

The present invention also relates to a method of fabricating the composite membrane, and a method of filtrating using the composite membrane as disclosed herein. The method of fabricating a composite membrane comprising contacting a perfluorinated polymer solution with a surface of a polymer layer and drying the perfluorinated polymer solution at a relative humidity of less than 20% to form a perfluorinated polymer layer physisorbed on the surface of the polymer layer.

The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a hollow fiber membrane bundle from a plurality of polysulfone and PVP-based hollow fiber membranes which encompasses the providing of a spinning solution comprising a polysulfone-based material, in particular polysulfone, a vinylpyrrolidone-based polymer, in particular polyvinylpyrrolidone, an aprotic solvent, in particular dimethylacetamide, providing a coagulant liquid comprising water and an aprotic solvent, in particular dimethylacetamide, co-extruding the spinning solution and the coagulant liquid through a concentric annular spinneret into a hollow strand, whereby the cavity of the strand is filled with coagulant liquid, conducting the strand through a precipitation gap, introducing the strand into a precipitating bath comprised substantially of water so as to obtain a hollow fiber membrane, conducting the hollow fiber membranes through at least one rinsing bath and drying the hollow fiber membrane obtained, arranging the resulting hollow fiber membranes into a hollow fiber membrane bundle, and treating the hollow fiber membrane bundle with water vapor.

A method for preparing a nanofiltration membrane and a nanofiltration membrane prepared therefrom, the method comprising the following steps: dissolving a polymer in a solvent to prepare a polymer solution, and curing the polymer solution on a support material to form a base membrane; sequentially applying a first liquid-phase solution and a second liquid-phase solution on the base membrane to form a nascent membrane; densifying the nascent membrane by using a solution that contains an alkaline substance; processing the densified nascent membrane by using a solution that contains an acidic substance; and obtaining the nanofiltration membrane after post-processing and drying.
METAL ORGANIC FRAMEWORK GLASS MEMBRANE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
A metal organic framework glass membrane and a preparation method thereof are provided. The preparation method includes a step of heating a crystalline metal organic framework material to the melting temperature at a rate of 1-15° C./min and then naturally cooling the crystalline metal organic framework material. The crystalline metal organic framework material contains a metal node and a ligand A. The metal node is a zinc ion and/or a cobalt ion and the ligand A is imidazole or phosphoric acid. The metal organic framework glass membrane has a wide range of membrane-forming conditions, and the material thereof can be melted without being decomposed within a control range to form a continuous glass layer with good repeatability.

The forward osmosis membrane and the preparation method thereof provided by the present invention, through fully cover the support mesh layer of the membrane with antibacterial nanoparticles, especially the mixture of nano-Ag and nano TiO2, ensures without reducing the strength, water flux and salt rejection, providing an effective, long-term and comprehensive antibacterial effect. In the present invention, the antibacterial nanoparticles, especially the mixture of nano-Ag and nano-TiO2, are used to carry out antibacterial modification on the support mesh of the forward osmosis membrane, so as to inhibit the growth of bacteria on the forward osmosis membrane, improves the forward osmosis and also improves the safety of the entire purification and filtration system. The antibacterial forward osmosis membrane of the present invention can be applied to the filtration and purification of complex water sources, especially the purification and filtration of eutrophic and bacteria-prone water sources.
