The fluid pump is operatively connected to the fluid motor and is configured to drive the fluid motor. The tensioner system is operatively connected to the fluid motor and to the fluid pump, wherein the direction of fluid flow through the fluid motor adjusts the application of at least one force applied to a belt in the drive system. The fluid motor is configured to adjust the force applied to the belt by regulating a belt tension in proportion to a torque provided by the fluid motor.

A header for a combine harvester has a first cutter bar for cutting crops at a first height so that the cut portions are gathered towards the central area of the header by an auger or draper mechanism, and a second cutter bar configured to cut the remaining stalks of the crops at a second height lower than the first height. The second cutter bar is displaceable with respect to the header body without separating it from the header body, the header body including a header back wall, side walls and floor portion. The second cutter bar is movable to an inactive position. The header is operable with the first cutter bar as a single cutter bar, when the second cutter bar is in the stored position.

The invention is preferably employed in the context of an auxiliary tool, e.g., in the form of a rotary trimmer, edger or the like, associated with another power implement, such as a lawnmower, wherein the power is preferably extracted from a driven member of the implement. Advantageously, the device is easy to attach/detach, is universally locatable and/or orientable on the implement, and is easily retrofittable to practically any existing implement, such as a lawnmower deck.

A variable speed transmission is disposed in a housing of a work vehicle, wherein the housing includes an external mounting surface. At least one axle is driven by the variable speed transmission and extends from the transaxle housing. An operator handle and the prime mover are mounted directly to external surfaces of the transaxle housing to provide a frameless vehicle. The transmission may also drive a power take-off assembly, which is also supported by the transaxle housing, to drive a work tool.

A primary shaft extends from the clutch assembly and controls a gear reduction, at the output of which a coupling transmits the motion to a shaft of the power take-off. A hydrostatic assembly draws motion from the internal combustion engine through the clutch assembly, a first kinematic chain being coupled thereto, and is connected to a second kinematic chain that retracts in the gearbox and that controls an axle of the wheels through a final reduction. Three shaft assemblies transmit motion respectively from the engine toward the power take-off, from the engine toward the hydrostatic pump, from the hydrostatic motor to the final reduction, and from the final reduction toward the wheel axle, the three shaft assemblies being arranged orthogonal to each other.

A plurality of chopping units is carried by the chassis adjacent the row units, each chopping unit including a rotating blade configured to span a crop receiving gap of the row unit. A drive assembly including a gearbox, driveshaft and secondary gearbox is operably connected to the second end of the power takeoff member. The drive shaft extends from the gearbox to the secondary gearbox disposed between the first and second lateral ends of the chassis. The drive shaft is operably connected to a rotating line shaft of the row units or the chopping units via the secondary gearbox.

A kill switch including a switch assembly. When the switch assembly moves from a switch first configuration to a switch second configuration with the switch assembly operatively connected to a controller of a tractor, a kill electrical signal is provided to the controller to stop the tractor powering a power take-off thereof. A cord is securable to the switch assembly and to the piece of machinery to extend along a rotary drive shaft between the tractor and the piece of machinery. A switch actuating element extends from the cord, the switch actuating element being removably securable to the switch assembly. In the switch first configuration with the switch actuating element secured to the switch assembly, the switch actuating element maintains the switch assembly in the switch first configuration. When the switch actuating element is removed from the actuating element receiving portion, the switch assembly moves to the switch second configuration.
