The document further discloses a mixing device, a gas outlet device a reactor and the use of such reactor.
EGR PRE-MIXER FOR IMPROVED MIXING
An exhaust gas recirculation system for an engine includes a conduit, and a U-shaped exhaust gas mixer. The conduit is configured to direct an exhaust gas away from an exhaust manifold. The U-shaped exhaust gas mixer is configured to direct exhaust gas from the conduit and into an engine air intake system. The U-shaped exhaust gas mixer is arranged with a pre-mixing cavity configured to disperse the exhaust gas and entraining the exhaust gas into an intake air flow prior to distribution into an intake manifold of an engine.
Gas mixer and gas mixing system
A gas mixer for mixing a first gas and a second gas, having a first, outer gas housing part, having an inlet for the first gas in a longitudinal axis and an inlet for the second gas in a transverse axis, a second, interior gas housing part set into the first gas housing part to form an annular space for a second gas, having a mixing space into which the first gas and the second gas are introduced for mixing. The first and second gas housing parts and the annular space are aligned along the longitudinal axis and the mixing space is aligned cylindrically along the longitudinal axis. A mixing device having a plurality of hollow rods is arranged in the mixing space. A hollow space of a hollow rod is in fluid communication on both sides with the annular space. The number of hollow rods extends transverse to the longitudinal axis and the transverse axis and at least one hollow rod has a plurality of openings for the second gas, so that the hollow space is in fluid communication with the cylindrical mixing space.
Premixing Apparatus
A premixing apparatus has a butterfly valve provided in an air supply passage, a zero governor and a variable throttle valve interposed in a gas supply passage. A control is performed to switch a combustion capacity between at least two stages of a large-capacity stage and a small-capacity stage through change in opening degrees of the butterfly valve and the variable throttle valve. At the small-capacity time, in case the opening degree of the variable throttle valve, when regulated so that the λ becomes a predetermined value, has been changed more to the small-opening-degree side than the predetermined small-capacity opening degree, in a state in which the opening degree of the variable throttle valve has been returned to the predetermined small-capacity opening degree, the opening degree of the butterfly valve is regulated such that the λ becomes the predetermined value, and the small-capacity opening degree of the butterfly valve is renewed to the predetermined value when the λ becomes the predetermined value.
Apparatus and methods for mixing reformable fuels and an oxygen-containing gas and/or steam
The present teachings provide apparatus and methods for mixing a reformable fuel and/or steam with an oxygen-containing gas and/or steam to provide a gaseous reforming reaction mixture suitable for reforming with a reformer and/or a fuel cell stack of a fuel cell unit and/or fuel cell system.
Homogenization apparatus for at least two fluid flows, in particular for homogeneous gas/air mixing in a gas engine
A homogenization apparatus for at least two fluid flows for homogeneous gas/air mixing in a gas engine, in which at least two fluid feed lines conducting different fluid flows and one fluid outflow line conducting the homogenized fluid are connected to a central homogenization space as mixing region. In a connection region upstream of the homogenization space, the fluid feed lines have in each case one line section with a flow deflection in one direction with a flow deflection which follows downstream in the other direction and are connected in such a way that the fluid flows are fed tangentially to the homogenization space with a swirl movement imparted to them, in such a way that a rotating, turbulent flow which assists the homogenization process is formed in the homogenization space.
Polyphasic pressurized homogenizer (PPH) and methods for methane purification
Ancillary embodiments and modifications to a homogenizer unit (“PPH”), and methods of use directed to purification of biogas or other raw methane streams. The apparatus includes a homogenizer body, one or more stream inlets (for the raw methane), one or more chilled water inlets, a mixing zone where the water stream is commingled with the raw methane stream, and a venturi immediately downstream from the mixing zone such that the commingled streams are pulled into the venturi resulting in homogenization. The PPH components are insulated to maintain the chilled water of the various streams at a cooled, below ambient temperature, increasing dissolution of the contaminant gases into the chilled water, and producing a purified methane stream including little or no H.sub.2S and CO.sub.2.
GASEOUS FUEL MIXER ASSEMBLY FOR ENGINE AND ENGINE SYSTEM OPERATING METHOD
A gaseous fuel mixer assembly for an engine includes a mixer housing forming gas delivery openings, and positioned to extend across a flow path formed by an intake conduit for the engine. A spool valve is within a central bore in the mixer housing and includes gas distribution openings selectively connectable to the gas delivery openings by moving the spool valve within the mixer housing using a piezoelectric actuator coupled with the spool valve by way of a pivot arm. Sealing lands of the spool valve are in an alternating arrangement with the gas distribution openings, such that at the closed position the sealing lands block the gas distribution openings from the gas delivery openings, and at the open position the respective openings are fluidly connected.
PREMIXING DEVICE AND COMBUSTION DEVICE EQUIPPED WITH THE PREMIXING DEVICE
A premixing device includes: a gas flow passage forming member in which an x direction is used as an axial length direction, and a Venturi-shaped gas flow passage into which air can flow in from the outside is formed inside; and a blade portion positioned in the gas flow passage, extending in a y direction, and equipped with a fuel gas outlet. The blade portion includes first and second blade portions spaced apart from each other in a z direction, and an air flow path near the center through which a part of the air flows is formed between these first and second blade portions. At least one of a pair of surfaces of the first and second blade portions facing each other is equipped with an inner bulging portion that bulges in the z direction so as to squeeze a part of the air flow path near the center.
