Pelletising Process Using Starch
A method for manufacturing a pelletised mineral product, the method comprising: in a first mixing step, forming a first mixture by mixing the evaporite mineral with non- gelatinised starch under conditions that are insufficient to substantially gelatinise the starch; in a second mixing step, forming a second mixture by mixing the first mixture under conditions that are sufficient to substantially gelatinise the starch comprised within the first mixture; and forming the second mixture into pellets.
BULK CARGO BLENDING HOPPER
A bulk cargo blending hopper has a hollow interior volume that is selectively communicated with a source of vacuum pressure. A first conduit has a first end that is connected to the housing of the hopper and communicates with the interior volume of the housing of the hopper. An opposite second end of the first conduit is configured for communication with a source of bulk cargo that is separate from the hopper. A second conduit has a first end that is also connected to a portion of the housing of the hopper and communicates with the interior portion of the housing. A second end of the second conduit is also connected to a portion of the housing of the hopper and communicates with the interior volume of the housing of the hopper.
MOLDED PRODUCT PRODUCTION SYSTEM
A molded product production system includes at least two measuring feeders configured to simultaneously adjust an amount of a discharged powdery material to a target value and feed the powdery material, a mixer configured to mix at least two powdery materials fed from the measuring feeders to obtain mixed powdery materials, a filler configured to fill, with the mixed powdery materials obtained by the mixer, a die bore of a compression-molding machine configured to compress a powdery material to mold a molded product, a sensor configured to measure a mixing degree of the mixed powdery materials obtained by the mixer, and a controller configured to adjust an amount of at least one of the powdery materials fed by the measuring feeders, or motion speed of a mixing member configured to agitate powdery materials in the mixer in accordance with the mixing degree of the mixed powdery materials measured by the sensor.
Method of making a cemented carbide or cermet body
The present invention relates to a method of making a cemented carbide or a cermet body comprising the steps of first forming a powder blend comprising powders forming hard constituents and metal binder. The powder blend is then subjected to a mixing operation using a non-contact mixer wherein acoustic waves achieving resonance conditions to form a mixed powder blend and then subjecting said mixed powder blend to a pressing and sintering operation. The method makes it possible to maintain the grain size, the grain size distribution and the morphology of the WC grains.
STIRRING APPARATUS AND STIRRING METHOD
A stirring apparatus includes a shredder that shreds a sheet; a case that accommodates a sheet piece shredded by the shredder and has a bottom surface and an inner surface; and a rotator that is disposed at the bottom surface of the case and includes a blade which stirs the sheet piece by rotation, in which L1<L3<L2, when between an outer end of the blade and the inner surface in a radial direction of the rotator, a shortest distance in the radial direction is defined as L1, a longest distance in the radial direction is defined as L2, and an average major axis length of the sheet piece is defined as L3.
High-speed centrifugal mixing devices and methods of use
A centrifugal mixing device can include a shaft assembly that is operably coupled to a motor such that the motor rotates the shaft assembly about a first axis. The devices can further include a turret that is rotatably coupled to the shaft assembly such that the turret rotates about the first axis relative to the shaft assembly. The turret can include a first support, a first canister rotatably coupled to the first support such that the first canister rotates about a second axis, and a second canister rotatably coupled to the first support such that the second canister rotates about a third axis. The turret is configured to rotate about the first axis in a first rotational direction and each of the first and second canisters is configured to rotate about the second and third axes, respectively, in a second rotational direction that is opposite the first rotational direction.
System and method for preparing micro-ingredient feed additives to animal feed rations
A method and system are provided for preparing micro-ingredient feed additives for use in designated feed rations. A micro-ingredient system of the invention includes a plurality of bins that store designated micro-ingredients therein. A master controller of the delivery system provides signals to control system components based on programmed commands corresponding to micro-ingredient batches to be prepared. Slide gate mechanisms are used to prevent loss of micro-ingredients delivered to a receiving receptacle of the system. During delivery of the micro-ingredients to the receptacle and during processing, the micro-ingredients can become airborne and subsequently lost. The slide gate mechanisms also provide controlled access to the receiving receptacle to prevent system errors such as contamination of ingredients in the receptacle, or improper batching of a prescribed micro-ingredient mixture to be delivered to a designated feed ration.
Device for the successive introduction of additives into a polymer granulate and use of the device
The invention focuses on a device for sequentially introducing additives in a polymer granulate and the use of the device for mixing the polymer granulate with the additives. The device consisting of a mixer with housing, comprising at least one mixer shaft attached in helix arranged non-continuous conveying pattern shapes, being rotated by a drive for the transport, whereby the mixer in the housing featuring an inlet for the polymer granulate to be mixed and each of the several subsequent inlets for the additive is followed by an outlet for the polymer granulate mixed with the additive, so that two or several mixing zones being formed in the mixer and whereby at least between at two mixing zones on the surface of the mixing shaft one section featuring a continuous screw conveyor instead of the non-continuous conveying pattern shapes, the section not being penetrable for returning solids from the subsequent mixing zone.
Mixing device, mixing hopper and dosing container
Mixing device 1, dosing container and mixing hopper for mixing a synthetic starting material with an additive, in particular a granular additive or additive in powder form, comprising a mixing housing 10 with an inlet 14 for allowing the substances into a mixing chamber 12 bounded by the mixing housing and an outlet 16 for discharging the substances from the mixing chamber in mixed form, wherein a rotor body 11 is provided on a rotatable shaft 17 in the mixing chamber and comprises on a side a number of rotor arms 18 extending parallel to the shaft in the direction of an opposite wall of the mixing housing 10, and wherein the opposite wall of the mixing housing is provided with a number of stator arms 19 extending parallel to the shaft in the direction of the rotor body, and wherein a mixing hopper is provided having an infeed side for receiving a flow of the substances for mixing and an outfeed side which is in open communication with the inlet of the mixing housing 10, and wherein a dividing body is provided between the infeed side and outfeed side in order to divide the flow of the substances for mixing into a number of at least substantially equal part-flows.
