RESIN DISPENSING APPARATUS
A resin dispensing apparatus includes a supply unit including a syringe having an internal space configured to hold a phosphor-containing resin. An agitator is disposed in the internal space. The supply unit is configured to rotate at least one of the syringe and the agitator to prevent settling of phosphor contained in the phosphor-containing resin. A discharge unit includes a cylinder having a discharge nozzle through which the phosphor-containing resin, received through a connecting pipe connected to the syringe, is discharged. A piston provides pressure to discharge the phosphor-containing resin through the discharge nozzle inside the cylinder.
Method and machine for manufacturing paste, in particular carbon paste for making aluminum production electrodes
Method and device for preparing a paste by blending or mixing materials, in particular for making aluminum production electrodes. The method includes the following operations: a) introducing the materials to be blended or mixed into a vat (31) having an inner surface extending along a substantially horizontal axis of revolution (X), b) rotating the vat (31) about the axis of revolution (X) and urging the materials via centrifugation against the inner surface of the vat (31), and c) locally dislodging the centrifuged materials from the inner surface by rotating the vat (31) and causing same to fall onto a crumbling tool (40).
Cyclonic flow-inducing pump
Disclosed cyclonic flow-inducing pumps overcome drawbacks associated with known adverse flow conditions that arise from flow of certain types of materials through a material flow conduit. Such cyclonic flow-inducing pumps provide for flow of flowable material within a flow passage of a material flow conduit (e.g., a portion of a pipeline, tubing or the like) to have a cyclonic flow (i.e., vortex or swirling) profile. Advantageously, the cyclonic flow profile centralizes flow toward the central portion of the flow passage, thereby reducing magnitude of laminar flow. Such cyclonic flow profile provides a variety of other advantages as compared to a parabolic flow profile such as, for example, increased flow rate, reduce inner pipeline wear, more uniform inner pipe wear, reduction in energy consumption, reduced or eliminated adverse considerations such as slugging.
PARTICULATE COLLECTION SYSTEM
A particulate collection system for use in a production environment. The particulate collection system includes a chute that collects and funnels dust, or other fine particulates, towards an exit opening. Proximal to the exit opening is a hollow stationary enclosure, and a hollow inner rotatable housing positioned inside the hollow stationary enclosure. The hollow stationary enclosure exhibits a first plurality of longitudinal openings, and the hollow inner rotatable housing exhibits a second plurality of spaced-apart openings along a wall of the rotatable housing. As the dust is funneled through the chute, the dust passes through the first plurality of longitudinal openings and the second plurality of spaced-apart openings, wherein the hollow inner rotatable housing temporarily collects the dust. The particulate collection system has a motor that rotates the hollow inner rotatable housing, and an external vacuum system that removes the collected particulates.
