Automated aseptic fryer
An on-demand automated aseptic fryer may be used to prepare multiple types of fried foods without requiring vats of hot oil. The fried foods that may be prepared include, for example, donuts or potatoes, or any other fried foods that can be prepared from a dry mixture that produces a dough when mixed with water. Alternatively, the dry mixture may include a dried, powdered or reconstituted fruits or vegetables that are subsequently mixed with water. The entire process is automated once the process is initiated by a user and thus does not require an attendant during the frying process, which in some implementations can be completed in less than about 1.5 minutes once initiated.

Sample processing methods
A method of processing a sample may include introducing a sample into a vessel, the vessel having proximal and distal ends, the sample being introduced into the proximal end of the vessel; incubating the sample in the vessel with a substance capable of specific binding to a preselected component of the sample; propelling components of the incubated sample, other than the preselected component, toward the proximal end of the vessel by clamping the vessel distal to the incubated sample and compressing the vessel where the incubated sample is contained; propelling the preselected component toward a distal segment of the vessel by clamping the vessel proximal to the preselected component and compressing the vessel where the preselected component is contained; and mixing the preselected component with a reagent in the distal segment of the vessel.
COMPACT APPARATUS FOR FERMENTATION AND PRESSING OF WINE
An apparatus for the production of red wine is provided. This compact device is suitable for home and hobby use. The fermenting wine is contained inside a single-use plastic bag, eliminating cleaning. A reusable rubber bladder is inflated periodically to squeeze the cap and disperse it. At the conclusion of the fermentation, a perforated device is inserted into the fermentation bag and pneumatic bladders are sequentially inflated to press out the wine while retaining the waste skins and seeds.
Method for treating at least one biological sample containing a target microorganism
A method of processing at least one biological sample capable of containing at least one target microorganism, the method being carried out within a container and including: (a) performing at least one step of homogenizing the biological sample, during which contents of the container are displaced from a level n, corresponding to a level of the contents at rest, to a homogenization level nh, distinct from the level n, and vice versa; and (b) generating a displacement of the contents to a level n+1, which is different from levels n and nh, such that the contents come into contact with at least one culture, at least one analysis device, or a combination thereof, positioned in a chamber of the container, between level n+1 inclusive and level nh exclusive, wherein step b) takes place before, after or during all or part of the homogenization step a).
