CONTAINERS FOR PRESSURIZING A LIQUID AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The invention provides containers for pressuring an aqueous liquid
Fluid mixing systems and methods
A jet-mixer for a fluid mixing system includes a housing including a mixer port formed in an inner surface of the housing, and a rotor rotatably disposed in the housing, the rotor including a rotor blade, wherein the rotor includes a first angular position in the housing restricting fluid flow through the mixer port, and a second angular position allowing fluid flow through the mixer port, wherein, in response to rotation of the rotor in the housing, the jet-mixer is configured to inject a first fluid jet through the mixer port into the passage of the fluid conduit that has a pulsed velocity profile.
Method for increasing dissolution of solid chemistry blocks
A method and apparatus for obtaining a product chemistry from a solid block is provided. The product is housed within a dispenser, which utilizes a liquid and a gas to erode the block and produce a concentrate solution. The liquid and gas characteristics can be adjusted in the field to achieve a predetermined concentrate level in the solution. The introduction of air into the dispenser saves water, while producing higher concentrate levels.
Valved cartridge and system
This disclosure provides, among other things, a cartridge comprising: (a) a cartridge body comprising a malleable material and having, disposed on a surface of the body, at least one valve body comprising a valve inlet and a valve outlet, each fluidically connected to a fluidic channel; and (b) a layer comprising a deformable material bonded to a surface of the cartridge body and sealing the at least one valve body at points of attachment, thereby forming at least one valve; wherein the at least one valve body is depressed in the cartridge body relative to the points of attachment and wherein the deformable material covering the at least one valve body retains sufficient elasticity after deformation such that in a ground state the valve is open. Also disclosed is an instrument comprising a cartridge interface and a cartridge as described herein engaged with the cartridge interface, wherein (II) the cartridge interface comprises: (A) at least one mechanical actuator, each mechanical actuator positioned to actuate a valve; and (B) at least one motor operatively coupled to actuate a mechanical actuator toward or away from a valve.
POWDER ROTARY FLUIDIZATION DEVICE AND METHOD THEREOF
A powder rotary fluidization device and a method thereof are provided. The powder rotary fluidization device includes a support device, the support device is provided with an installing plate, the installing plate is provided with a power device and a fluidization device, and the power device is in transmission connection with the fluidization device. After a position of the fluidization device on the installing plate is adjusted through the support device, the power device is started to drive the fluidization device to rotate, and meanwhile gases are introduced into the fluidization device to process powder. and therefore the problem of poor processing effect on fine powder with high viscosity is solved through the rotatable fluidization device.
DEVICE FOR PREPARING A FERTILIZER SOLUTION FOR USE WITH A FERTIGATION SYSTEM
The present application provides a device (1) for dissolving in an aqueous liquid an essentially water-soluble substance, optionally comprising insoluble solid matter, and, optionally for filtering the aqueous solution of the essentially water-soluble substance to remove the insoluble solid matter. The device (1) comprises a container (2) for holding an aqueous liquid, wherein the interior of the container is divided into two separate compartments, respectively a mixing compartment (12) and a filtering compartment (14), separated by a vertically positioned filter screen (13) comprising a filter; a mixing means positioned in the mixing compartment; an outlet (17) in the lower half of one of the walls or in the base of the mixing compartment (12) for removal of the insoluble solid matter from the mixing compartment (12); a grid (4) positioned above the mixing compartment (12) comprising means for opening a bag (5) positioned on or above the grid (4), and an electronic device (20), optionally comprising a digital display, connected to a sensor (19).
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING INDIVIDUALLY PROCESSED FLUID SAMPLES
The present invention is directed to a continuous fluid sample processing device for producing individually processed fluid samples and a method for producing individually processed fluid samples. Moreover, the invention also relates to the use of the device in corresponding methods, in particular in a method for continuously mixing, incubating and analyzing a fluid sample by flow cytometry.
