A gel production system and method, in which a powder configured for mixing with an aqueous solvent such as water to form a gel is metered into a pressurized air stream to fluidize the powder, and the fluidized powder is injected into a pressurized water supply. The fluidized powder is at a greater pressure than the water supply, helping to hydrate the fluidized powder in the water, and the water supply plus fluidized powder are subsequently mixed in a mixing chamber to form the gel.

A food material powder supply device 1 of the disclosure includes a supply tank 50 that temporarily stores food material powder in a tank 50A and supplies the food material powder to a processing container 2A of a food processing machine 2, a vacuum device 70 that reduces the pressure inside the supply tank 50 with vacuum pumps 71A and 71B, and a control device 3 that operates the vacuum device 70 to reduce the internal pressure of the supply tank 50 to be equal to or lower than a predetermined atmospheric pressure at which moisture of the food material powder is evaporated and cools the food material powder in the supply tank 50. According to one embodiment, the liquid crystal material processing device includes a syringe containing contents composed of a liquid crystal material and the like, having a distal end portion constituting a first discharge pipe, an agitation mechanism agitating the contents of the syringe, a vacuum chamber having a second discharge pipe penetrating the bottom to connect to the first discharge pipe of the syringe. The agitation mechanism agitates the liquid crystal material and the pure water in the syringe, and purifies the liquid crystal material by causing water-soluble impurities to transfer to the pure water. The agitation mechanism agitates the liquid crystal material remaining in the syringe after the water layer has been discharged. The evacuation mechanism evacuates the vacuum chamber and causes the liquid crystal material to be degassed while the remaining liquid crystal material is agitated.

The apparatus includes: a vacuum tank adapted to seal an internal space thereof to allow the internal space to be maintained to a vacuum state; a vacuum pump located on one side of the vacuum tank to suck the air from the interior of the vacuum tank, so that the vacuum tank is kept in the vacuum state; a stirring vessel located inside the vacuum tank in such a manner as to communicate with the vacuum tank through a bypass pipe, the water and oil being supplied thereto; and stirrers rotating by the drive of motors to stirringly mix the water with the oil.
