Method and apparatus for contactless mixing of liquids
The invention generally relates to an apparatus and a method for mixing of liquids (50) or of particles with a liquid (50). In a volume of liquid (50), a thermal convection flow is generated at at least one surface of the volume of liquid by irradiating IR radiation (30) into the volume of liquid. Thereby it is possible to avoid a depletion zone at the surface and to more accurately measure interactions of the particles with the surface by means of surface-based measurement methods.
Process and apparatuses for preparing nanoparticle compositions with amphiphilic copolymers and their use
This invention discloses a process for making nanoparticles of amphiphilic copolymers by flash precipitation. Nanoparticles may be of amphiphilic copolymer alone or may contain an additive target molecule, preferably an organic active. The inclusion of additive target molecules in amphiphilic copolymer nanoparticles can alter their water solubility characteristics, fluid dynamics, and/or stability. Changing an additive target molecule's solubility and stability in a nanoparticle can make a water insoluble compound suitable for pharmaceutical administration as well as specifically target the molecule to a specific area of a patient's body. The process affords the production of nanoparticles at high absolute active content, at high yield, high productivity, and high processing rates while using unusually low amounts of amphiphilic copolymers. Furthermore, the resulting particles exhibit sufficient stability for post processing as desired. The invention also discloses two apparatuses for the production of nanoparticles of amphiphilic copolymers by flash precipitation.
DEVICE FOR PREPARING A COSMETIC PRODUCT FROM A CARTRIDGE, AND SUITABLE CARTRIDGE
Disclosed is a device for preparing a cosmetic product, in the form of a cream, an emulsion, a lotion, a gel, a suspension, a mask or a gommage, in a first container from a base and at least one excipient. The device includes: the first container intended to contain the prepared cosmetic product, including: a free end that is open at the top and equipped with a connector, and a free end that is open at the bottom and equipped with a connector, a cartridge equipped with a connection to the free end, containing the base, an agitator, with a connection to the free end, open at the top, and at least one supply unit collaborating with at least one reservoir.
Gas-liquid dissolving tank and microscopic bubble generator
This invention provides a microscopic bubble generator that can stably/efficiently generate a large amount of microscopic bubbles in liquid in a short time and can be easily cleaned in an assembled state and in a disassembled state, and a gas-liquid dissolving tank that can be suitably used for the apparatus. In the gas-liquid dissolving tank that promotes dissolution of gas mixed with liquid in the liquid, openings that pass the flowing gas-liquid are formed at an upper portion and a lower portion of a container of the tank, a plurality of separation walls that vertically divide a plurality of chambers are disposed in the container, openings that connect upper and lower chambers are formed through the separation walls, the upper ends of the openings of the separation walls extend predetermined distances upward from the separation walls, and the lower ends of the openings of the separation walls extend predetermined distances downward from the separation walls.
Mixing of Fluids
A micro-reactor system for contacting fluids is described. The system comprises a first microfluidic channel structure for guiding a first fluid to at least one output nozzle thus generating a first sub-flow, a second microfluidic channel structure for guiding a second fluid to at least a second output nozzle thus generating a second sub-flow, said first output nozzle being aligned with said second output nozzle and arranged for contacting the first sub-flow and the second sub-flow. The micro-reactor comprises at least a third microfluidic channel structure for at least a third, inert, fluid generating at least a third sub-flow arranged to be positioned adjacent at least the first and/or the second sub-flows so as to act as a wall between said first and/or second sub-flows.
Method and apparatus for improving steam dryness of steam injection boiler
The method and an apparatus for improving the steam dryness of a steam injection boiler includes injecting wet saturated steam and gas into an oil layer together in a sealed way, after the dryness of the wet saturated steam at an outlet of the steam injection boiler is improved by a dryness raiser. The dryness raiser includes a combined spray head, a steam heating chamber, a combustion chamber, and a mixing chamber. The gas generated by the combustion chamber enters into the mixing chamber and is fully mixed with the steam from the steam injection boiler. The dryness of the wet saturated steam at the outlet of the steam injection boiler can be improved to 95%-100%, and the effects of improving steam enthalpy, replenishing stratum energy and enlarging the steam wave and size are realized, so as to heat up the oil layer more effectively, and improve heavy oil development.
Mixer nozzle assembly
A mixer nozzle assembly for mixing fluid introduced into a tank having a tank volume therein. The mixer nozzle assembly includes a stationary body and a rotatable body mounted on the stationary body for rotation about an axis in a predetermined direction. The fluid flows through the stationary body to the rotatable body and exits into the tank volume via one or more outlet apertures, thereby causing the rotatable body to rotate in the predetermined direction about the axis. The mixer nozzle assembly also includes a governor subassembly for controlling a speed of rotation of the rotatable body in the predetermined direction about the axis.
