FLEXIBLE BAFFLE FOR USE IN A BIOREACTOR OR MIXER AND METHOD OF INSTALLING BAFFLE
A flexible baffle and methods of installation thereof into a bioreactor or mixer vessel are provided. The flexible baffle includes a plurality of segments connected to one another via hinges. Each segment includes at least one alignment element that aids in aligning the segments as the baffle is placed within the bioreactor or mixer vessel, such that the baffle can change from a non-linear shape (e.g., curved) during installation to a linear shape upon completion of installation into the bioreactor or mixer vessel.
Vortex disruptor for a liquid circulator
A liquid circulator for creating liquid circulation in a body of liquid includes a vortex disrupter or blocker that disrupts a vortex created by the circulation assembly of the liquid circulator to minimize or eliminate the slurping/slapping sound. The liquid circulator and vortex disrupter described herein may be used in shallow water with the liquid circulator mounted to a structure, such as a dock or pier. The vortex disruptor permits the circulation assembly to be operated closer to the water surface, while minimizing or eliminating the slurping/slapping sound, and with the circulation assembly further away from the bottom to avoid moving too much debris or possibly causing dredging/trenching on the bottom.
MIXING DEVICE AND MIXING SYSTEM
A mixing device includes a fluid input portion, suitable for receiving at least one fluid to be mixed, the fluid input portion including at least one fluid input pipe; and a fluid mixing portion, communicated to the fluid input portion, the fluid mixing portion including a fluid mixing pipe, communicated to the at least one fluid input pipe; and a passive shaking deflector, arranged in the fluid mixing pipe; wherein the passive shaking deflector is driven to shake by the fluid to be mixed flowing through the passive shaking deflector. The mixing device is suitable for improving mixing efficiency in pipes without external power.
MIXING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MAKING MIXED COMPOSITIONS
Mixing systems and methods of making mixed compositions including a first composition and a second composition. The systems and methods incorporate a fluid flow manipulation to manage an undesirable accumulation of a separable ingredient such as particles associated with the first and/or second composition as the mixed composition is further processed and packaged downstream.
GAS MIXING DEVICE
A gas mixing device mixes an exhaust gas discharged from an internal combustion engine with a cooling gas introduced from the outside of the internal combustion engine. The gas mixing device includes a tubular portion, and a cooling gas inlet port for introducing the cooling gas into a space located outside the tubular portion. One end portion of the tubular portion is provided with an exhaust gas inlet port, and the other end portion of the tubular portion is provided with a mixed gas outlet port for leading out a mixed gas of the exhaust gas and the cooling gas. A plurality of opening portions allowing the cooling gas in the space to flow into the inside of the tubular portion are formed in a peripheral wall of the tubular portion, and positions of the opening portions in the axial direction of the tubular portion are different from each other.
