Beverage machine for preparing and dispensing iced beverages
The present invention provides a beverage machine with at least three distinct zones 1, 3, 4. A first zone 1 for storing a liquid or semi-liquid product at ambient temperature, a second zone 3 for processing the stored product, in particular for cooling the product to a predetermined serving temperature, and a third zone 4 for storing the cooled product and maintaining it at the predetermined serving temperature. From the third zone 4 an iced beverage can be dispensed.
REFINER, INSTALLATION AND METHOD FOR TREATING COMPOSITE PRODUCTS
The invention relates to a refiner (1) for treating composite products made from thermoplastic material(s), comprising an enclosure (3) with a cylindrical wall, defining a treatment chamber provided with at least one feed opening (5) for products to be treated and at least one outlet opening (5′) for treated products, and a cylindrical drum (6), mounted so as to be able to move in the cylindrical enclosure (3) and having a diameter smaller than that of the latter, the longitudinal axes of symmetry of the outer enclosure (3) and the inner drum (6) respectively being parallel to each other,
the refiner (1) being characterized in that it comprises a means for heating the treatment chamber (4) and in that the drum (6) is mounted in the outer enclosure (3) so that it is able to move in rotation about its longitudinal axis (A2) and so that its longitudinal axis (A2) is able to move along a circular path around the longitudinal axis of said enclosure (3), the two types of possible movements mentioned above being controlled by separate drive and/or actuation means allowing them to be effected selectively or in combination.
PROCESS FOR DENSIFICATION OF POLY(ARYLENE ETHER KETONE) POWDERS
Process for densification of a poly(arylene ether ketone) (PAEK) powder or of a mixture of poly(arylene ether ketone) (PAEK) powders, the process being mixing the powder or the mixture of powders, in a mixer equipped with a rotary stirrer including at least one blade, for a period of between 30 minutes and 120 minutes, preferably of between 30 and 60 minutes, at a blade-tip speed of between 30 m/s and 70 m/s, preferably of between 40 and 50 m/s.
ASPHALT CONCRETE HAVING A HIGH RECYCLED CONTENT AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
The disclosure relates to methods of making asphalt concrete mixtures including reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP). Variability in the fraction of binder that occurs in RAP that is able to melt and mix with virgin binder included in the concrete mixture previously made it difficult to select an appropriate amount of virgin binder. Methods described herein permit an asphalt concrete mix designer to determine the amount of virgin binder that can be combined with RAP and virgin aggregate in order to satisfy the minimum effective binder content of a job mix formula for such a concrete mix. The subject matter described herein thus permits more efficient use of RAP and permits use of RAP in higher amounts in asphalt concrete mixtures.
Pelletising Process Using Starch
A method for manufacturing a pelletised mineral product, the method comprising: in a first mixing step, forming a first mixture by mixing the evaporite mineral with non- gelatinised starch under conditions that are insufficient to substantially gelatinise the starch; in a second mixing step, forming a second mixture by mixing the first mixture under conditions that are sufficient to substantially gelatinise the starch comprised within the first mixture; and forming the second mixture into pellets.
Additive manufacturing device
The invention relates to an additive manufacturing device for the layered production of three-dimensional objects from a polymerizable liquid. The device comprises a trough with a bottom for receiving the liquid, a support platform, on which the object is built up and which is height-adjustable relative to the trough, a structural element having a first and a second side, on which the liquid polymerizes on the first side to form an object layer, and a radiation source which irradiates the second side of the beam-permeable structural element. The structural element is disposed above the upper support platform.
HEAT EXCHANGER UNIT
Embodiments of the disclosure pertain to an improved heat exchanger unit that includes a frame having a top region, a bottom region, and a plurality of side regions. The unit has a first cooler coupled with the frame proximate to a respective side region and generally parallel to a vertical axis. The unit has a second cooler coupled with the frame proximate to the top region and generally perpendicular to the vertical axis. The unit includes an inner airflow region within the heat exchanger unit, and a first baffle disposed within the inner airflow region.
Direct probe sensed temperature method for speed change for heat sensitive portions of a thermokinetically melt blended batch
The present disclosure provides for a first embodiment, where, a first, lower shaft speed mixing of the component combination takes place in a thermokinetic mixer, where monitoring of the batch by temperature rate increase determination results in a determination that a substantial portion of desired thermokinetic mixing has occurred, whereafter a different shaft speed is used to complete the desired thermokinetic mixing of the component combination.
EMULSION MATRIX GROUND STATION WITH INTRINSIC SAFETY
Provided is an emulsion matrix ground station with intrinsic safety, which relates to the technical field of emulsion matrix preparation process and apparatus of mobile ground auxiliary equipment in civil explosive industry. The emulsion matrix ground station may include a water phase tank, an oil phase tank, a water phase pump, an oil phase pump and a static emulsification device. The water phase pump may have an inlet connected to an outlet of the water phase tank by a pipeline, and an outlet connected to a water phase inlet of the static emulsification device by a pipeline. The oil phase pump may have an inlet connected to an outlet of the oil phase tank by a pipeline, and an outlet connected to an oil phase inlet of the static emulsification device by a pipeline.
Bioreactor apparatus
A bioreactor apparatus includes a vessel establishing an interior space environmentally separable from an exterior space outside of the vessel, an agitation system including mixing means arranged in the interior space and drive means adapted to rotate the mixing means. The drive means includes a drive motor that is arranged in the interior space.
