Systems and methods for moving a convertible bench between a first position, which presents a backrest, and a second position, which presents a table top, is described herein. While the described systems can include any suitable component, in some cases, they include a base having a first end piece that has a first set of legs with a first arched leg support that extends between the first set of legs and a second end piece having a second set of legs with a second arched leg support that extends between the second set of legs. The bench further includes a backrest/table portion that is hingedly coupled to the base so as to be pivotable from a first position that presents a backrest to a second position that presents a table top. The stools are swingable relative to the frame from a retracted-storage position to an extended use-position. The stools are arranged to engage with a surface beneath the table in the extended-use position to support a user of the table relative to the table top. A combination table includes a seat, at least two support members, two functional members, at least two combination pieces, a table board, and a cover plate. The seat has a first and a second combination sides oppositely disposed. The support member has a first fix section, a second fix section, and a connection section connected between the first section and the second section, and the first fix section is slidably disposed on the first and second combination sides. The functional members are slidably combined with the second fix section, so that the functional members are suspended above the seat. The combination pieces are fixed on the second fix sections, respectively. The table board has the bottom face thereof attached on the combination pieces. Thus, the assemblies of the present invention are modularized, increasing the convenience of installation.

A combination table includes a seat, at least two support members, two functional members, at least two combination pieces, a table board, and a cover plate. The seat has a first and a second combination sides oppositely disposed. The support member has a first fix section, a second fix section, and a connection section connected between the first section and the second section, and the first fix section is slidably disposed on the first and second combination sides. The functional members are slidably combined with the second fix section, so that the functional members are suspended above the seat. The combination pieces are fixed on the second fix sections, respectively. The table board has the bottom face thereof attached on the combination pieces. Thus, the assemblies of the present invention are modularized, increasing the convenience of installation.

A picnic table includes first and second structures detachably connected to each other by linking assemblies. One of the first and second structures is a table and the other of the first and second structures is a bench. A linking assembly includes a linking member, which has a first end portion connected to the first structure and a second end portion detachably connected to the second structure. When the second end portion is disconnected from the second structure, the linking member is retractable or rotatable toward the first structure.

One of the first and second structures is a table and the other of the first and second structures is a bench. A linking assembly includes a linking member, which has a first end portion connected to the first structure and a second end portion detachably connected to the second structure. When the second end portion is disconnected from the second structure, the linking member is retractable or rotatable toward the first structure.

A flat plate based system for securing legs to a chair is provided wherein a chair support has two catches and two leg pieces each have a tab at one end, the tab configured to interact with one of the two catches, each leg piece including an opening through which a tension member passes. Anchor pieces are configured to secure to the tension member such that the tension member pulls the anchor pieces together. The leg pieces each have an edge such that the edges face each other and the tabs interact with the catches and the tension member is positioned in the opening and the anchor pieces and tension member pull the edges together to hold the tabs against the two catches.
