Fluid mixing apparatus and methods for mixing and improving homogeneity of fluids
11931706 · 2024-03-19 · ·

Apparatus that mixes non-homogenous fluid. A threaded shaft within a housing circulates fluid within a container to effect mixing. In one embodiment, when placed in a container of fluid, the housing the fluid is recirculated through opposing ends of the housing. In an embodiment of a related method for mixing, a pump housing containing a screw journaled for rotation receives fluid within a container and conveys the fluid therethrough to circulate a fluid portion in the container along an exterior surface of the housing for mixing with another fluid portion to improve fluid homogeneity. After mixing, the portion of the fluid which first circulates through the housing may recirculate through the housing with said another portion of the fluid. The fluid may be continuously mixed and recirculated through the housing.

The multiple-chamber container further comprises at least one piercing element (50) for piercing the pierceable separating layer (40) in such a way that the first and the one other mixing component (B, H) mix in the first or the at least one other chamber (10, 20). The multiple-chamber container (1, 1*) is characterized in that the at least one other chamber (20) is coaxial to the first chamber (10), the separating layer (40) being partially formed in the separating wall (30). The piercing element (50) is hollow, in particular hollow-cylindrical, and has at least two longitudinally offset openings (51) for introducing either the first or the other mixing component (B, H) into the chamber (10, 20) of the respective other mixing component (H, B).

Device for preparing and applying adhesive

The invention relates to a device for preparing and applying adhesive, comprising a feed unit, a preparing unit, and an application unit, wherein the feed unit is used to feed a basic component of the adhesive and/or of at least one additive, wherein the preparing unit effects continuous mixing of the basic component of the adhesive with the one or more fed additives to form the prepared adhesive and continuous conveying of the prepared adhesive, wherein the adhesive prepared in such a way is conveyed from the preparing unit into the application unit and can be applied to a workpiece by the application unit.

Re-mixing dispenser for liquids in plunger tubes

A re-mixing dispenser for containing and dispensing a liquid. The dispenser may have one or more tubes, each containing a different liquid. At least one of the liquids may be re-mixed in situ, using a special two-piece plunger and plunger rod. A mixing piece of the two-piece plunger is moveable independently of a top piece and has blades that allow it to move through the liquid. A plunger rod is removably attached to the mixing piece and is operable to move the mixing piece up and down within the tube during mixing. The two plunger pieces are joined and moved as a single plunger during dispensing.

ADHESIVE AND SEALANT MIXERS WITH AUTOMATIC STROKE LENGTH ADJUSTMENT
20190299174 · 2019-10-03 ·

Mixers for adhesives and sealants that include automatic stroke length adjustment for different sizes and configurations of adhesive and sealant cartridges are disclosed. The mixers include a sensor for detecting when a mixing impeller reaches the top of a cartridge and the bottom of a cartridge, which sends a signal to a main pressure cylinder to reverse direction. The stroke length of the mixer is automatically adjusted without the necessity of manual selection based upon a particular cartridge size.

DYNAMIC MIXER DISPENSE VALVE FOR TWO-COMPONENT HIGH-VISCOSITY HIGH-RATIO COMPOUNDS
20190275482 · 2019-09-12 ·

A dynamic mixer dispense valve and metering apparatus suitable for use in mixing and applying high viscosity, disparate viscosity, high ratio and/or relatively immiscible two part compounds that exhibit short cure times includes a housing supporting a pair of valve assemblies each coupled to respective sources of base and accelerator components. A pair of pneumatic valve actuator s control the operation of the valve assemblies to control the flow of components into a mixing chamber. Within the mixing chamber a mixer impeller is rotatably supported and coupled to a source of rotational power. An additional pneumatic valve actuator combination operates a further flow control to prevent undesired material loss following a shot cycle.
