A furniture system (600) includes an inner back (620) and a conversion mechanism (800) which operates so as to move the inner back (620) from a sofa configuration to a sleep configuration. A table assembly (700) is also provided which utilizes a table mechanism (710) so as to permit a user to manually adjust the height of a table top (701) among three functional positions.

Furniture with a concealed compartment is provided. The furniture includes a tabletop and a base. Tracks on sides of the base mate with interior channels of the tabletop to enable the tabletop to be slid to reveal or conceal the compartment. The compartment may include a locking mechanism that prevents access to the compartment. The locking mechanism can be unlocked using a magnet.

Different aspects of the invention refer to a multi-surface comfort table, such as a coffee table, that turns into a footrest or a bed. This is a useful item of furniture especially for small living spaces, as it is a coffee table and footrest in one and thus takes up less space. It is designed to function as a normal coffee table, and, when needed, the top is modified quickly to reveal a soft cushioned surface to place your feet on. One example envisaged is that the surface slides open to reveal the cushioned surface, but other embodiments envisage the top surface to be also lifted, slid, rotated (on any axis) or flipped (or any combination thereof) to reveal the soft surface. This top surface can be whole, or divided into parts that can be manipulated individually revealing the soft parts where and when needed.

A table for a vertical partition includes a cutout defining a table board that has at least a table bottom edge and two opposing cutout side edges. The table board is pivotally attached at the table bottom edge with at least one bi-directional hinge to the cutout bottom edge. The table board has an elongated slotted bracket pivotally fixed with a pivot bracket to one of the two opposing table side edges. Each slotted bracket is slidably constrained by a retention pin fixed with one of the two opposing cutout side edges. With the table board fixed within the cutout in a raised position, the table board may be pushed to one side of the vertical partition or the other, the bi-directional hinges pivoting the table board down until the retention pin reaches an end of the slotted bracket to maintain the table board in a substantially horizontal position.

A table for a vertical partition includes a cutout defining a table board that has at least a table bottom edge and two opposing cutout side edges. The table board is pivotally attached at the table bottom edge with at least one bi-directional hinge to the cutout bottom edge. The table board has an elongated slotted bracket pivotally fixed with a pivot bracket to one of the two opposing table side edges. Each slotted bracket is slidably constrained by a retention pin fixed with one of the two opposing cutout side edges. With the table board fixed within the cutout in a raised position, the table board may be pushed to one side of the vertical partition or the other, the bi-directional hinges pivoting the table board down until the retention pin reaches an end of the slotted bracket to maintain the table board in a substantially horizontal position.

A furniture assembly comprising a first frame structure having front and rear portions and including at least a first leg member and a substantially horizontal first rail member supported by the at least a first leg member where the first rail member has a first length dimension, a substantially horizontal second rail member supported by the at least a second leg member spaced apart from the first rail member wherein an assembly space includes the space between the first and second rail members, a front portion of the assembly space adjacent the front portion of the first frame structure and a rear portion of the assembly space adjacent the rear portion of the first frame structure, a first furniture sub-assembly having first and second ends, having a first depth dimension and supported within the assembly space by the first and second rail members and a second furniture sub-assembly having first and second ends, a second depth dimension and supported within the assembly space by the first rail member and a rail member of another frame structure, wherein the combined first and second depth dimensions are less than the first length dimension.

A furniture assembly comprising a first frame structure having front and rear portions and including at least a first leg member and a substantially horizontal first rail member supported by the at least a first leg member where the first rail member has a first length dimension, a substantially horizontal second rail member supported by the at least a second leg member spaced apart from the first rail member wherein an assembly space includes the space between the first and second rail members, a front portion of the assembly space adjacent the front portion of the first frame structure and a rear portion of the assembly space adjacent the rear portion of the first frame structure, a first furniture sub-assembly having first and second ends, having a first depth dimension and supported within the assembly space by the first and second rail members and a second furniture sub-assembly having first and second ends, a second depth dimension and supported within the assembly space by the first rail member and a rail member of another frame structure, wherein the combined first and second depth dimensions are less than the first length dimension.

A desk or table shield includes a clear face and two wings, is individually assignable, easily attached to a desk or table top, and include elbow openings preventing or reducing interference with arms during use. Clips are permanently attached to the desk or table top, and the shield engages and disengages from the clips to attach and detach from the desk or table. A template facilitates portioning the clips for attachment to the desk or table top. The wings are attached to the face by flexible hinges. Cable cutouts are provided for cabling. Carrying handles are provided by slots in the face and wings which align when the wings are folded against the face for carrying.

A storage table/stool, having a bottom plate, a hollow cylinder body and a table plate or a seat cushion, the table plate or the seat cushion is placed at the top of the hollow cylinder body, and the bottom plate is arranged at the interior or the bottom of the hollow cylinder body; the hollow cylinder body has a screen frame body, an upper side frame at the top of the screen frame body, and a lower side frame at the bottom of the screen frame body, the upper side frame, the screen frame body and the lower side frame are formed separately or integrally, the upper side frame is bent inwards to form a first boss, the table plate or the seat cushion is detachably placed on the first boss, and the bottom plate is arranged at the interior or the bottom of the screen frame body.
