Method and system for blending natural gas liquids into hydrocarbons
A method and system for blending natural gas liquids into liquid hydrocarbons may include using multiple blending tanks with internal mixer eductors, a plurality of analyzers, and, optionally, a recirculation tank, wherein natural gas liquid may be added into the system at each blending tank, creating a more accurately mixed final product.
Carburetor supplemental fuel supply
A carburetor provides a supplemental fuel supply to an engine and includes a body, a fuel metering diaphragm and a fluid pump. The fuel metering diaphragm defines part of a fuel metering chamber and a reference chamber and has at least a portion that is movable relative to the body to increase and decrease the volume of the fuel metering chamber to control fuel flow in the fuel metering chamber. The fluid pump is carried by the carburetor or another component upstream of the carburetor and has an outlet in fluid communication with the metering reference chamber and an actuator arranged to discharge fluid through the outlet to increase the pressure within the metering reference chamber and thereby increase the fuel flow rate from the fuel metering chamber to the air-fuel passage to provide a supplemental fuel supply to the engine.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MIXING HYDROGEN WITH NATURAL GAS
Systems and methods for injecting hydrogen into a natural gas pipeline to lower the carbon intensity of the resulting fuel blend while achieving the required energy output thereof for the end user. In one embodiment a blend ratio for the blended fuel comprising hydrogen and natural gas is determined based at least in part on a minimum energy output for fuel combusted at an end-use location connected to the natural gas pipeline so that the blended fuel (i) has a lower carbon intensity than a natural gas stream flowing in the natural gas pipeline, and (ii) provides at least the minimum energy output when combusted at the end-use location. Further, one or more embodiments include adjusting a control valve of a hydrogen injection assembly connected to the natural gas pipeline upstream of the end-use location based at least in part on the blend ratio to thereby mix hydrogen into the natural gas pipeline and produce the blended fuel.
MULTI FLUID INJECTION MIXER
Multi Fluid Injection Mixer for injecting gas and/or liquid as admixture fluid to gas and/or liquid flowing through a pipe, and homogeneously mixing the admixture fluids and pipe fluids, said injection mixer constituting a section of the pipe, distinguished in that the injection mixer is comprising: at least one contacting element having at least one contacting surface facing and deflecting some of the pipe fluid flow, forming a constriction to the internal cross-section of the pipe, such that the pipe fluid flow is accelerated and fluid flowing in the vicinity of said surface is deflected to flow along the surface until the surface end over a sharp edge at the point of maximum constriction and flow velocity, at least one injection element arranged with a fluid connection to said surface of the contacting element, such that admixture fluid can be injected onto said surface and along said surface be entrained by the flowing pipe fluid over the sharp edge, but for a contacting element formed as a contracting pipe section at least two injection elements are provided.
