This disclosure includes mixers and methods of mixing. Some mixers comprise at least one contacting element, each defining at least one mixing channel. Each of the mixing channel(s) can have a cross-sectional area that decreases in a downstream direction to accelerate any pipe fluid flowing through the mixing channel. The contacting surface of each of the mixing channel(s) can deflect at least a portion of any pipe fluid flowing through the mixing channel until the contacting surface ends at an edge at a point of maximum constriction. Each of the contacting element(s) can define one or more injection path(s) to at least one of the contacting surface(s), each configured to inject admixture fluid onto the contacting surface such that the admixture fluid is entrained by pipe fluid over the edge.
MIXING DEVICE FOR A FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM OF AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A fuel injection system (4) for an internal combustion engine has a low-pressure pump for delivering fuel from a fuel tank. The fuel is fed upstream of an injector (11) of the fuel injection system (4) to a mixing device (14). The mixing device (14) has a mixer housing (18) with a fuel connection (15) for receiving fuel and with at least one coolant connection (17; 28; 33) for receiving a coolant. For the purpose of bringing about efficient mixing of the fuel and the coolant, before a collision of a fuel jet (40) of the fuel and a coolant jet (41) of the coolant, the two fluid jets (40, 41) are formed to be at least partially aligned in the same direction.
Method and device for the open-loop or closed-loop control of the amount of a fuel mixture
A method and a device for open- or closed-loop control of an amount of water mixed with a fuel is provided. A fuel supply is split into a first branch having a Venturi pipe with a vacuum connection and a second branch having a blocking valve. Water is supplied to the Venturi pipe vacuum connection, and the fuel-water mixture in the first branch and the fuel in the second branch is supplied to the fuel pump. Open-loop or closed-loop control is provided by either reducing fuel flow in the second branch with the stop valve such that the fuel flow in the first branch increases, increasing the amount of water mixed in the fuel at the Venturi pipe, or increasing fuel flow in the second branch such that first branch fuel flow decreases, decreasing the amount of water mixed in the fuel at the Venturi pipe.
OIL-WATER-VACUUM-MIXED FUEL PRODUCTION APPARATUS
The present invention relates to an apparatus for producing a fuel made by mixing water with oil in a vacuum state. The apparatus includes: a vacuum tank adapted to seal an internal space thereof to allow the internal space to be maintained to a vacuum state; a vacuum pump located on one side of the vacuum tank to suck the air from the interior of the vacuum tank, so that the vacuum tank is kept in the vacuum state; a stirring vessel located inside the vacuum tank in such a manner as to communicate with the vacuum tank through a bypass pipe, the water and oil being supplied thereto; and stirrers rotating by the drive of motors to stirringly mix the water with the oil.
