AIR HUMIDIFIER, METHOD FOR OPERATING AN AIR HUMIDIFIER, AND SYSTEM HAVING AT LEAST ONE AIR HUMIDIFIER
The invention relates to an air humidifier (1) having a mixing chamber (5) in which is disposed an atomizing nozzle (9) configured to discharge a liquid (25) as a spray mist (10). The mixing chamber (5) is configured such that a gas (26) conveyed along a main flow path (8) through the mixing chamber (5) is mixed with the spray mist (10) and discharged at an outlet opening (7) of the mixing chamber (5). The atomizing nozzle (9) has a swirl device configured to impart a swirl to droplets (11) of the spray mist (10) in order to emit the spray mist (10) as a straight circular spray cone (12). It is provided that the mixing chamber (5) has a separating device (16) configured to catch droplets (11) of the circular spray cone (12) that move from the atomizing nozzle (9) along a hollow cone (14) having a predetermined interior angle (15), and to supply droplets (11) that move inside the hollow cone (14) to the outlet opening (7) of the mixing chamber (5).
Breathable gas apparatus with humidifier
Apparatus for treatment of obstructive sleep apnea includes a CPAP device and a detachable humidifier. The humidifier includes a tank that is removably insertable into a humidifier base. A sealed air flow path from the CPAP device and through the water tank is established when the water tank is placed in the humidifier base.

A gas humidifier can have a gas channel comprising an inlet and an outlet. A portion of the gas channel can have a region having a reduction in cross-sectional area relative to the portions of the gas channel outside of the region. A water conduit can extend from the region to a water reservoir. A heating element can heat water entering the region from the water conduit. Water vaporized using the heating element can join the flow of gases passing through the gas channel in use.

A CPAP device for delivering pressurized, humidified breathable gas for a patient includes a flow generator configured to pressurize a flow of breathable gas. The flow generator includes an air outlet and a removable water container configured to humidify the pressurized breathable gas received from the flow generator. The water container includes an air inlet and an air outlet. The CPAP device further includes a first elastomeric face seal configured to sealingly abut against a substantially flat portion of the water container surrounding the water container air inlet, the first elastomeric face seal being located at an intermediate position between the flow generator air outlet and the water container air inlet when the water container is placed into position to pneumatically communicate with the flow generator. In addition, the CPAP device includes a second elastomeric face seal, a portion of which is configured to sealingly abut against a substantially flat external surface portion of the water container surrounding the water container air outlet.
METHOD FOR REGULATING THE MOISTURE IN A GAS
A method for regulating the humidity in a gas. In the first step, the humidity in a gas entering a bubbler at a flow rate is regulated between 200 NL/h and 2,000 NL/h. The gas entering the bubbler through the inlet of the bubbler tank passes throughout the first porous matrix. The humidified gas comes out through the outlet of the bubbler tank and circulates towards a compressor. In the second step, the gas derived from the first step is dried. The gas coming out of the compressor passes through a T-shaped tube including one inlet and two outlets. One of the outlets is arranged vertically and lets the liquid phase of the gas flow by gravity effect, thereby creating a condensate. The other outlet is connected at the bottom of a desiccant reservoir.

BREATHABLE GAS APPARATUS WITH HUMIDIFIER
A breathable gas supply apparatus has a flow generator configured to pressurize a flow of breathable gas and a humidifier base unit configured to be coupled to the flow generator. A water container is configured to be removably coupled to the humidifier base unit and includes an air inlet and an air inlet passage extending into an interior of the water container from the air inlet. The air inlet passage is configured to direct the pressurized flow of breathable gas in a direction that is substantially parallel to a base of the water container. A barrier wall is provided across an outlet end of the air inlet passage and extends downward from the air inlet passage toward the water container base. In addition, a curved wall opposes both the outlet end of the air inlet passage and the barrier wall and extends downward toward the water container base. The breathable gas supply apparatus also includes a connector defining an airflow passage between an outlet of the flow generator and the air inlet of the water container.

Provided is a floating type humidifier, and particularly, a floating type humidifier which can prevent, when a floating type humidifier discharging water particles or vapor while floating on water in a water tank loses a balance thereof and falls, the water stored in the water tank from flushing abruptly and even though a water tank falls due to external force such as an earthquake or carelessness of a user, water stored in the water tank is prevented from being abruptly discharged to minimize a cleaning operation which occurs as much water is discharged, the floating type humidifier can prevent foreign materials from being input in the water stored in the water tank, and the floating type humidifier can be stably used even at places including a hospital, a kindergarten, and a home where a lot of children move.
